I am a first class graduate of History and Politics at the University of Manchester, having received an A* at A-level in History. I have a passion for all things past tense, and that reflects in the enjoyment of past students' in my lessons. I have been tutoring History for 3 years during my time at university, and have decided to continue this now I have graduated. I have a great deal of experience helping students gain entry into some of Manchester's most competitive schools, such as Manchester Grammar, Withington High school and St Bedes. My favourite level to teach, however, is GCSE and A-level History, where I believe a tutor can go into a level of detail that is not covered in class, and allow for a greater quality of essay reflecting this deeper understanding of a period. This understanding is inevitably reflected in essays, in which I will also coach a structure of writing that is suited to both exams at the time, and help with a-level and university level further down the line.
