I specialised on exam practise for gcse and SATs. In the lesson i’m going to go through a topic (e.g algebra) for 2 to 3 lesson, once we go through the topic and exam style questions. I’m going to asses the student on the topic by giving them exam style questions. If the student pass (70% and above) it shows they have a good undersanding on the topic and we will move on to the next topic. However of they fail ( below 70%) it shows the don’t understand the topic, therefoere we will have to repeat the topic again to make sure they fully understand it. I also expect the student to revise on everything we done at their own time so they don’t forget. For year 11 and year 6 I would like to focus on exam past paper around 4 to 3 month before their exam and not go through content at that time. This is because I want them to feel comfortable on answering exam paper, I will also assesd them on the past paper in time condition. Onces thats done I’m going to mark it and go through their correction, this will help them see their mistakes and avoid it in the near future. My aim is the student to achieve the highest grade as possibe.
