What is this - Suzuki method? The Suzuki Method is suitable not only for children but also for adults as it provides an excellent technical foundation for playing your favorite songs! If you have been dreaming of playing the flute for a long time, I am here to help you. Talent is not inherited. It is a product of energy and patience. Children grow up in a rich and diverse environment, accepting the world around them spontaneously and intuitively. They grow up in an atmosphere of joy and positivity. Parents believe unconditionally in their children, their success, their luck, their talent. They learn eagerly through repetition by imitating their favorite people. Language and music are perceived through hearing. There is a sensitive period in childhood when a child learns to speak naturally. The sensitive phases are important. That's why we have to bring music into a child's life as early as possible (Maria Montessori also talks about "sensitive phases"). The child learns and improves at their own individual pace. A successful task is an incentive for new achievements. We can learn and master anything we want. All it takes is patience, perseverance and time. The surrounding world is a living source of sensitivity and receptivity. Man is a child of his environment. Constant repetition, listening to the repertoire, learning to play by heart is a natural way to learn an instrument, just like the native language. Parents have a great responsibility as home teachers, not just attending classes and helping with practice at home. Your job is to be dedicated to the continued teaching of the Suzuki approach, creating a musical environment, learning the basics of playing and caring for the instrument, and creating a general atmosphere of affection, support and understanding. The most important component for success is the willingness of parents to regularly take time to work closely with the child and the teacher. The Suzuki method is a teacher-mentor who walks the path with the child, who does not dominate, but shows his knowledge and authority, and for the mother, this inner authority helps create a harmonious union of the three - teacher - parent - child - to create the so-called Suzuki triangle (triangle). Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation. For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...). I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.

Cathy started her music teaching career in 2015, and has been teaching students from beginner to grade 8, aged from 6 to 35 years old. She always welcomes students who wish to explore more about music, building up playing the flute as their hobby, as well as growing together with them as their role models. She feels very glad and blessed to be the teacher of her students, as well as being their sister, witnessing their growth and becoming a good friend to them. In the lesson, she would always love to play studies, and exercise, as well as play flute pieces and duets together with the students. To broaden their horizons, she would love to share different music recordings, as well as discuss the music together during the lesson. Cathy believes that it is essential for students to step out of the classroom to learn music, rather than just playing the flute. During years of teaching, she has encountered students taking different examination grades. Cathy understands the importance of choosing the pieces for students, she would love to demonstrate pieces and discuss the preferences with the students together. As the mode of having examinations has varied these years, she has already adapted to preparing students for the exams under different situations. I offer personal harmonica lessons in a variety of genres. The content is entirely based on your interests and is very much oriented towards actual playing and improvising. With me you can learn everything you need for the blues harp. From the first notes, replaying your favorite songs and special techniques to fluid improvisation and playing together with other musicians. I'm also happy to convey a solid understanding of the music theory behind the harmonica, but if you don't feel like learning theory, that's no problem for me.
