    About Me

Translated by Google. Click to view original.
I have been playing the guitar since I was 14 years old. I have been playing it for 12 years. I really like playing rock, jazz and bossa nova, but I can adapt to several different styles according to your requests.

I have also been doing productions on Ableton for 6 years. I could also teach you if that interests you!
It always gives me pleasure to teach others, so it will be with great pleasure that I teach you what I know. I learned the guitar without taking lessons thanks to musician friends and thanks to the internet! I would be happy to share my knowledge.

Songwriting / music production / guitar or piano: tailor-made music lessons with a focus on creativity
Hey! I am Seppe, songwriter and producer from Ghent, living in Brussels, with a master's degree in music production. During my studies at the Conservatory in Ghent, I acquired a wide range of skills that I will pass on to you with great pleasure and patience! The most important thing for me is always creativity and musicality. In doing so, we look at your personal needs and adapt the program to suit you. This can be about songwriting, producing or music theory, possibly in combination with a basic guitar or piano lesson. You are also welcome if you want to start with just one instrument. You indicate what you would like to learn more, and I will adjust where necessary. All levels are welcome. First we have an introductory meeting and we look at what would be a good process for you. If you already have demo recordings, you can definitely bring them. Below are some examples of what we can do in a lesson: - Take your self-written song to the next level. Song structure, lyrics, melody and chords are covered here. - You bring a demo to class and you get feedback. Based on this, you will continue to work with it at home and we will look at the evolutions in the next lesson. - Learn to work with a DAW. I specialize most in Logic or Pro Tools. We learn how to record, arrange, edit and mix. - Music theory - Guitar or piano lessons The lessons can take place at my home or at your home. If on relocation I will charge a small surcharge for travel and time costs. Feel free to send a message if you are interested! Greetings, Sep

Guitar lessons for kids, teens and adults
Guitar teacher for many years, I am passionate about jazz, blues, folk and fingerpicking. My classes address in the greatest relaxation, the bases of these different styles. Chaining chords in a fluid way, exploring different rhythms, correctly placing a melody, trying improvisation (jazz, blues, rock), developing finger-playing techniques (classical or folk), are all elements at the center of learning. These are deepened by notions of musical theory and / or solfeggio. Teacher trained in the "Arc-en-sons" method, I also teach children from 4 years Classes are for Beginner and Intermediate levels. Individual lessons (20, 30, 45 or 60 minutes). Group lessons (60 or 90 minutes). Possibility of collective workshops (3h, min 4 participants). Hope to meet you!

Dring Dring Dring! The guitar swings! beginner - intermediate course
Hello, I am a passionate young musician, trained trumpeter and self-taught multi-instrumentalist, I have been exploring the many facets of musical expression for 15 years. I have been playing the guitar for 7 years, to accompany the song, to create an improvisation support or atmospheres and melodies. The musical openness, the technical background and the experiences of multiple styles allow me to adapt my teaching to the needs and wishes of the student, and lead me to offer an accompanied teaching on the guitar, the piano, the percussions, decorated Harmonica or Trumpet. On this support a work of improvisation and musical listening is also offered. After my CEM course at the Bayonne Regional Conservatory and one year of private teaching, I have the educational tools necessary for effective technical education. Recalling the interest of technique as a means at the service of expression, I invite my students to explore and work through play, and to find their own expression. Learning the theory can be done upstream, or integrated into the learning of instrumental playing. Welcome to all students from 6 to 666 years old!

Guitar lessons in Brussels and its surroundings, adapted to the student's requests and desires
I know a fairly wide repertoire of music and master the basics of music theory or what we could call the musical 'theory' of the guitar. If certain pupils are interested in learning by an equally theoretical route, the teaching will be adapted accordingly. But if you prefer to learn the songs as they are, there is no problem, we will go straight to the point!

Brussels guitar court, in group or individually.
Private guitar class in classical, acoustic or electric at my home. Possibility of group classes. I am located in Schaerbeek near the place Lietds. I am a Frenchman of about thirty years, I studied music for several years and I practice the guitar for over 15 years. I taught it to young and old, in groups or in private lessons. I teach most often for beginners but also for more advanced levels. I also had the opportunity to give lessons to people with difficulties, including blind people or people with reduced mobility. I have also taught a lot in the United Kingdom so I can give my lessons in English. I enjoy sharing and following the evolution of my students. I will find you the best way for you to gradually learn to play this instrument but also to understand and use music in general. I can teach you at the same time as solfeggio or following the tabs, grids chords .. We can also focus on styles or songs that you like but I would encourage you to discover, practice, evolve ..

Beginner to Advanced Lessons for Guitar Players for all ages
After dedicating 14 years to mastering the guitar, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of guitar playing, encompassing both foundational techniques and advanced music theory. In these lessons, I'll be sharing the wealth of knowledge I've accumulated over this extensive period of learning. I will be covering a broad range of guitar techniques, including fingerpicking, strumming techniques, major and minor chords, power chords, barre chords, riffs, scales, finger warm-ups, practising any song of your choice, string bending, pull-offs, hammer-ons, harmonics, strumming patterns, and slides. All are provided with diagrams etc. For music theory, I will begin by covering the fundamentals, including notes, strings, and the musical 12-note chromatic scale alphabet on the guitar. As students progress, we will delve into more advanced topics such as tones, semitones, chord progressions, circle of fifths, scale formulas and chord terminology. Additionally, we will explore concepts like consonance and dissonance and pitch practice to develop relative pitch. (You have to be born with perfect pitch but you can learn relative pitch with practise!) Then advancing to jazz theory, we'll explore; jazz scale formulas, jazz chord progressions, swing techniques, major and minor 7th chords, major and minor 9th chords, dominant, augmented, half-diminished, diminished, sus2 and sus4 chords. And then jazz scales and the art of re-harmonising a song (changing the chords to jazz chords). All music theory will be intertwined with guitar practice as both can't be done without the other! One observation I've made while learning guitar through lessons is that information is often doled out incrementally, making it feel like a breadcrumb trail. Guitar knowledge and skills seem to be closely guarded and usually gatekept unless actively sought out. I strongly believe that the extensive knowledge I've acquired over 14 years of playing should be fruitfully shared in a more comprehensive and accessible manner, of course while being tailored to the pace of the students. In essence, I'm convinced that the depth of my understanding I've gained could be effectively conveyed and learnt within a two-year timeframe without including the time it takes to master the skill with practice, of course, I'd like to make it easier for people to learn the guitar and the theory behind it. I have also graduated with a distinction for my Music Performance and Production UAL Level 3 Course and have experience teaching guitar in London and Bristol before. The lessons will be taught in English so practising your English with me is also a plus, a foundational knowledge of English is required to take the lessons.

Guitar workshops: personalized lessons / private training
Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation. For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...). For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...). Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points: -Study of various playing techniques, chords, harmony, music of your choice, rhythm, with reading of tablature, teaching structured around the repertoire you like, technique of developing the musical ear - Discovery of the neck, notes and basic positions of open chords - Left / right hand coordination and rhythm exercises for the right hand - Learning of different pieces of your choice - Left hand control exercises, speed and precision - Learning arpeggios - Work around muscle memory - Learning improvisation, musical play with others - Ear training: use your ears to find chords, melodies, sounds and techniques used -Spend a pleasant moment of exchange, without unnecessary institutional pressure, while obtaining concrete results -Understand and discover the many facets of an exciting and user-friendly instrument - Benefit from personalized advice on your posture and certain pitfalls to avoid when starting alone -Adjust and clarify your self-taught knowledge - Learn tablatures / tabs & in English. Note : - Possibility to use the guitar available on site, during the test phase. - As our teacher is also a singing teacher, it is possible to combine the two disciplines: guitar + vocal instrument, and to work on synchronization, style and accuracy. - Possibility of offering this course (birthday, party, Christmas, event ...) to the person of your choice. THE TEACHER : Trained in Grande Ecole post-preparatory classes & Ivy League university in the United States, our teacher has specialized and has worked for more than 15 years, in Europe and North America, in the field, in renowned international public and private establishments, with careful pedagogy and methodology as the watchwords. PLACES : - Locations: Geneva-Lausanne-Friborg-Neuchâtel-Montreux-Bâle-Sion-Sierre-Morges-Bienne. But currently, only by videoconference in accordance with national recommendations on Covid. These sessions also seem to be perfectly unanimous since they have the advantages of direct (example: quality of the interaction), without its disadvantages (ex: loss of travel time), with additional advantages (ex: of notes on the chat, which can be reread afterwards). In this context, these videoconference sessions for which you have requested me, seem to arouse a certain enthusiasm (and a certain enthusiasm). At your request, I therefore continue to offer them.
