ZakiyaBasic level mathematics as well as test prep for under 14 year olds
Mathematics is a compulsory core subject which requires some level of understanding. For some this is difficult and that is understandable however many young people often find it really isn't as hard as it seems and sometimes find it is fun.
I specialize in basic and upper level mathematics, including Statistics and Decision mathematics alongside all levels of English tutoring.
I am organised, determined and soft spoken. I believe that focus and patience is the key. Occasionally some learners just need time.
I hope I am the perfect match for you
My sessions are for both young and older children.

AaronChemistry, English, and Maths Tutor: Beginner, IB, and Advanced
Hi! My name is Aaron and I've recently graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a first class masters in medicinal chemistry. I took the International Baccalaureate myself right here in Den Haag, and know personally how difficult it can be. In fact my worst IB result was in chemistry, mainly due to poor teaching and a lack of effective learning resources. Precisely because I overcame this deficit to go on to excel at university level chemistry, I know I can help any student achieve their desired results.
Alongside my studies I spent over two years working as a primarily online IB chemistry tutor through Elite IB Tutors. I have conducted both online and face-to-face lessons, and guided many students for months. Through this work I have experience in lesson planning, tailoring content, working to learning outcomes, and have comprehensive knowledge of the current SL and HL syllabuses. I can also teach English and mathematics at an intermediate level, as both of these subjects were central to my work in university.
As a tutor I prioritize the relationship with the student, and understand that everyone learns most effectively in a trusting environment. I am highly flexible in my teaching methods, according to a student's individual needs and strengths. I also value transparency, and am eager to include the student and their family in any decision making regarding the lessons. From my students I expect only an eagerness to learn and a confidence in their own ability.
Please feel free to get in touch with any additional questions.
MaiMath, biology and chemistry tutor (primary school, Havo, VWO)
Beta courses are important and are often also a requirement for (bio) medical and pharmaceutical courses.
Gaining knowledge of beta subjects should not only be in the area of passing my exam, but in understanding the concept and being able to apply it in practice, which will help a student in the future.
Mathematics is my strongest point. I am in my last year of biopharmaceutical sciences, in which biology and chemistry are an important basis.
Do you need some extra help with math, biology or chemistry?
Then I would like to help you!
Just a small overview of what I can teach you:
- formulas, equations and insight into mathematics (especially mathematics B) such as; Differential equations
- Basic concepts in mathematics
- Algebra, geometry
My explanation is based on different levels from primary and university students.
I am a passionate person who always wants to gain much more knowledge and understand more things about life. I also really enjoy sharing my knowledge with others.
- I have previously worked with young people and the elderly in schools, university and hospitals.
I have a lot of patience.
- clever tricks in mathematics and other teaching methods in biology.
RezaTutor for Math, Physics, and Mechanical/Material Engineering courses
I have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and currently I work as a post-doc researcher in aerospace Engineering faculty of TU Delft. I have ample experience in teaching all the courses related to Engineering such as mathematics (algebra, probability, calculus, differential equations, and advanced engineering mathematics), Mechanical engineering courses (Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of materials, Mechanical design, control, vibration, Fluid mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, Engineering drawing, etc), Physics (mechanics, electricity, light, waves, etc), CAD/CAM software (Autocad, Solidworks), and Mechanical design packages (ANSYS, ABAQUS, MATLAB, LS-DYNA).
Not all the teachers are good at teaching Engineering and Mathematics courses and informing the students about the importance of what they are learning. That is why mathematical based engineering courses (such as Statics or Strength of Materials) are mostly boring for the students. The other problem that many students have with courses with strong mathematical background is that their mathematical basis is weak and therefore they cannot follow the course. I usually try to start my course from the basics and therefore actively engage as many students as possible in the class (even the weak ones). I also usually try to inform the students about the importance of what they are learning in the class by giving them some examples. This makes them more inspired and interested into what they are learning.
If you have extra questions before starting a class, don't hesitate to ask me :)
FemkeTutoring math B, math A, physics, biology, chemistry, etc., for VMBO, HAVO and VWO
I give tutoring in various subjects at secondary level, including mathematics, physics, biology, Dutch, English and chemistry.
For years I have been teaching tutor in different subjects to students of all ages.
I am currently studying linguistics at the University of Amsterdam. At the VWO I followed a nature & technology profile, which means that I also know everything about mathematics and physics as those subjects are taught at a secondary level.
AreebaEnglish language tuition for exam preparation and school.
You will be able to learn language with fun using creative ideas that are more engaging than conventional learning. I believe that my qualification and teaching experience will benefit the students who approach me, for language cannot be taken easy. It's a process.
JohnMathematics and Science Private Tutoring (English)
In The Netherlands, I have privately tutored students from the British School of the Netherlands (BSN), the American School of The Hague (ASH) and the International School of The Hague (ISH) for over 10 years. All students have gone on to further tertiary education in America, England, Canada and Europe.
My teaching is based around the understanding of concepts and first principles, rather than the rote application of method. This leads to a greater and deeper understanding of the topics, and also provides the skills to learn and analyse rationally in fields that are perhaps not directly related to Mathematics and Physics.
RaymondUK boarding school preparation and math tutoring for exams
