I am an award-winning Oxford graduate with a passion for art, history and the ancient world. I received a First-Class Bachelors in Anthropology and Archaeology from Keble College.
I have successfully coached students for entry into some of London’s best schools and the country’s best boarding schools, including Westminster, City of London School for Girls, Winchester and Wycombe Abbey. I also specialize in GCSE and A-level History, English and Classical Civilisation.
I also have a good deal of experience working with Oxbridge applications, and am well versed in interview practice and personal statement writing.
My tutoring experience and caring and patient nature allow me to maintain a strong rapport with a students, foster their critical thinking and achieve academic excellence.
Having a sibling who struggled with autism, dyslexia and dyspraxia has made me attuned to the specific needs of each child and committed the need to make learning a positive experience. My desire is to make tutoring a process that builds self-esteem in pupils as they see themselves progress. I enjoy creating bespoke lessons and setting targets based on individual needs.
I particularly enjoy working with pupils on their writing skills and seek to teach my students how to structure their ideas, grapple with different viewpoints, present a convincing argument and express their own takes on different subjects.
