From 42 £ /h
With more than 20 years of international teaching experience (Belgium, Singapore and the UK), I specialise in high‐quality, personalised French tuition. I prepare students for GCSE, iGCSE, A Level, IAL, AQA, Pearson/Edexcel and DELF examinations, offering clear structure, targeted practice and expert guidance.
My teaching style is calm, supportive and adaptable. I have worked with learners from all backgrounds — from school pupils to medical professionals, business executives, a helicopter pilot and even a bishop — and I know how to bring out the best in every student.
I design each lesson around individual needs, ensuring rapid progress, strong exam technique and genuine confidence in French.

About Me
I am a native French tutor with over 20 years of teaching experience, including my early career at Berlitz Language School in Brighton and more than 15 years of online instruction. I specialise in grammar, exam preparation and helping learners develop confidence and authentic self‐expression in French, always making sure my lessons are relaxed, enjoyable and genuinely engaging. I love seeing my students progress — watching their confidence grow is one of the most rewarding parts of my work — and my background in education and translation helps me guide learners as they explore how language and identity shift across cultures.
Education
I hold a Degree‐level Diploma in Primary Education from the Hautes Écoles de Namur in Belgium, where I trained as a French‐speaking primary teacher. I also completed a Degree Certificate in Translation through the University of Manitoba’s distance‐learning programme, which strengthened my understanding of linguistics and cross‐cultural communication. In addition, I hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), allowing me to teach across the British education system.
