Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs. My main goal is to help the student discover her or his voice while enjoying making music. **Class suggestions and indications** No experience is needed just bring your enthusiasm and favorite music. Classes can be given either in English, Spanish, French or Deutsch. There are no limit for styles, bring your favorite music and I will provide a safe environment for your personal and musical growth. Learn to sing your favorite songs, we will develop through a technique fully adapted to your needs and level and we will bring out the best of you, as a voice and as a singer. Learn to use your voice correctly without damaging your vocal cords. We will work interpretation with each song, turning to your aspirations, whether it is at the level of concert, recording, or private level as a hobby to have fun.

Singing classes which will be adapted to the style the student wants to learn or explore. In these classes there will be a technical part in which we will learn how to apply the technique to the performance and then we will move on to the interpretation part in which I will suggest songs on which we can work and advance. These classes are dynamic and fun. I focus on helping you make the most of your voice and teach you how to get the most out of it.

I specialise in teaching rap skills and lyric writing. If you enjoy rap music and would like to learn how to improve your technique then I am here to help you! I have many years of experience teaching, performing and recording my own music. I sing, rap, write lyrics and have performed with a band in the past. I can cover different styles including Hip Hop and Grime. We will also cover lyric writing where I can help you with your flows and technique to create your own original material. There is an option to get custom made beats to help you create your own original tracks. I really enjoy teaching and like to make the lessons challenging and fun.

These classes are focused on learning vocal interpretation of modern music. To do this, we will work on vocal technique, body expression and connection with the audience, and the preparation of repertoire, according to the needs and tastes of the students. It is advisable to take the classes individually, but they are also offered in groups of up to 5 people. In the individual modality, a song will be recorded, when the students feel ready, that demonstrates and practices what was taught during the course.

Music has always brought me amazing opportunities to connect to inspiring people throughout my life. I personally love many different types of music from around the world but my favourite styles to play are Jazz/Soul and Latin music. I have been singing since I can remember and understood the importance of playing instruments from a very young age. I feel fortunate to have been able to work on my musical skills through leading and playing in many different bands, performing in bars and different events and recording with some pretty cool people. Personally, I think it helps to learn and practice songs that you like because it motivates and speeds up the learning process. I am happy to suggest some songs that would suit your style as we go. I'm very flexible when it comes to the lesson. I like to personalize them to your goals and needs, from which I create specific exercises for listening, rhythm, technique and music theory (which can seem unapproachable at first) I have seen my students grow through ups and downs through putting in time. Key is showing up to the lessons, from there you are already growing. I strongly believe music is a universal language that can be learned and enjoyed by everyone, as long as they put their mind to it. I'd be more than happy to guide you through some of your musical journey and have you be part of mine too.

Music has always been a huge part of my life and I would be thrilled to pass on my knowledge. I studied music at university and have Grade 8 in both piano and vocals, but I have also performed in many different venues across the UK. I have helped previous students with stage-fright and anxiety with performing as well as aiding them learn their favourite songs on piano - and singing along at the same time. I can teach in many different piano styles from popular music to classical and I can also teach music theory. I have a deep passion for traditional, holistic yogic practises and I understand that large classes can be overwhelming. I have found that Yoga is very individual, and with gentle 1:1 guidance, has lots room for personal growth. I can teach poses, breathing techniques and meditation to help us feel the best we can. All my lessons will be tailored to each student, we will discuss together the goals of the practise, and provide the balance of learning, but also making it fun and enjoyable and a space to relax.

I have just completed my music degree where I specialised in contemporary classical singing and opera. I have experience singing jazz, pop and musical theatre and have completed one year on a Vocal Studies course at a Music Conservatoire. I have Grade VIII in Violin and Classical Voice, Grade VI in piano and Pop and Jazz Vocals and recently achieved a 1st for my final degree recital and composition. The techniques that you gain from classical training can be applied to all genres and give a strong foundation to be able to perform any music you may be interested in. I can also offer help with music theory and shape what I teach to meet your interests and goals. I aim to help you truly love music and gain confidence in your performance and musicianship skills in a safe and encouraging environment. I have an incredible wealth of experience teaching classical music. I specify all the way from baroque music to contemporary and can apply to any age. I am currently at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music under the tutelage of the Head of Vocals there and have years of experience with the voice. I am training myself to become an opera singer but started out with Musical theatre so have a wide range of experience with that too! I already teach privately and can prepare students for vocal ABRSM examinations if they wish.

She was the baroque strings coach at the inaugural edition of the Novi Sad Baroque Academy, where she presented a mixture of teaching methods incorporated with historically informed performance practice. In October of 2021 she joined the Herne Hill Music Studio in London as one of their tutors. She enjoys teaching students of all levels and ages, and is always willing to exchange knowledge, seeking new exciting and productive ways of learning. She has explored educational psychology, as well as Feldenkrais and Alexander Technique, visualization and different teaching schools. Having studied 2nd-study piano at her music college as a compulsory requirement, she is able to guide children to take ABRSM graded piano music exams too. The students’ happiness, acquisition of new knowledge and musical improvement are the most important things to her.
