About Me

Student in History, I obtained my master's degree at the École normale supérieure (ENS) with first class honors, after six years of higher education in Paris, and I will continue with a second master's degree at the University of Cambridge, at the next fall. A competent researcher in all periods of history and in the methodology of written expression, I am very enthusiastic about the idea of helping, supporting and accompanying pupils / students towards their academic and university success. I specialize in teaching History for all audiences, French for Anglo-Saxon audiences as well as in tutoring to strengthen the working methods of the pupil / student and to support his orientation towards French higher education and / or Anglo-Saxon.

Education

Bachelor of History at the Sorbonne, with honors (2017); Master's degree in transnational history at the École normale supérieure (ENS) with first class honors (2020); Masters in World History at the University of Cambridge (2021, coming soon)

Experience / Qualifications

My experience: a total of six hours of intensive preparation for the bac blanc in History of a French final year student. Good general level, but having weaknesses in his writing skills and suffering from a lack of confidence in his abilities - his 1st semester marks were around 12-13 / 20.
In two three-hour sessions, I was able to first clarify certain points of the program, and I helped him to target and identify the most relevant information, through discussion and exchange. We then worked on a method of learning and understanding concepts, rather than simple memorization. And, finally we worked together on the annals, taking point by point the different methodologies of the dissertation and the analysis of document - then alone, he tackled himself on different parts of the exam, under the same conditions. time, writing as many notes as possible. We then reviewed both the content and the form, bringing my appropriate suggestions. His homework assignment was to write the entire exam, and we reviewed it together during the second session.
In addition, I was available on the phone for last minute questions. As a result, he obtained 16/20 in the white bac, and was able to reuse the same methods in other subjects, in particular in SES.
