One of Bach's great contributions to specify the bases of modern harmony, based on the 12 tones of the temperate system. Since then, every musician in the West has relied on these 12 tones to compose virtually all the music we hear today. Hello, my name is Sebastián, I have been a guitarist for 20 years, I have a master's degree in education and 10 years of experience teaching music. I have designed this course to cover the concepts of notes, chords and arpeggios, intervals, harmony (classical and jazz), rhythmic figures, scales, etc. My goal is to be able to give you this knowledge so that you can apply it on a daily basis with your favorite instrument.

I have been playing the piano for 13 years. I have always loved learning the instrument and music in general. I teach beginner classes for any age, however, most of my experience is teaching children. I teach classical piano. I can teach for whatever ends are desired, be that going through the ABRSM grades or just playing for fun. Learning music can be quite frustrating particularly when few teachers intertwine musical theory with instrumental proficiency in a comprehensive manner. Normally the focus is on one or the other and I personally found this quite frustrating. I always felt the best way was to learn both alongside each other - that is to apply musical knowledge to the instrument and to have the knowledge to appreciate and understand the music that is being played. The best part is this can all be done at the keyboard, keeping playing the piano a fun activity and not a chore.

By taking online music classes in cello, piano, music theory, and composition, students can develop a well-rounded musical foundation. Cello and piano lessons enhance instrumental technique, musical expression, and performance skills. Music theory classes provide an understanding of harmony, rhythm, and melody, essential for analyzing and interpreting music. Composition classes allow students to apply their theoretical knowledge by creating original pieces, learning how to structure works, orchestrate for different instruments, and develop a personal style. These classes also cultivate discipline, creativity, and confidence in musical practice.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

If you want to develop your skills as a composer, this is the class for you! In this class, you are going to learn the fundamentals of creating original music, including Music theory, Motif Development, Rhythm, Structure, Orchestration, and Music Notation. During our classes, we are also going to explore different musical genres, analyze and finally put them into practice.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs. For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease. If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. On the other hand if you play in a band or a group you will be well equipped to do a real 'jam' session. Whether you play a single line instrument (flute, saxophone, trumpet, violin etc.) or keyboard instruments, this class is for you.
