Hey! My name is Jakob, I'm from Slovenia and I've studied classical piano and am currently in second year bachelor for jazz piano. I played in many different bands, so whether it's jazz, classical, pop or any other kind of music, I will guide you through different ways to approach music and practicing (all of them will be fun and what YOU really want/need)! We can work on anything you would like to improve; technique, music theory, accompaniment, songwriting/composing, improvising...

If you like a certain style, we will focus on it and develop your playing towards your taste. I've been playing, teaching and studying drums for over 15 years now. I take it very seriously and try to tailor my teaching to every student that I have. I can use my experience as a proffecional musician to make you progress fast and focus on things not every teacher knows from books. In this course we will focus on technique as well as creativity and improvisation (one of the most enjoyable aspects of playing drums). Do you have any other percussion instrument you'd like to expand your knowledge on? I can offer you percussion lessons as well since I have a lot of experience in playing percussion as well. If you want to study with me I can provide a stable program for development for fast results including scores, exercises, etc. About me: As well as teaching, I'm mainly a performer of music - I've been playing drums with different bands as well as classical percussion for more than 15 years now in many different settings. In the last years of my development I've taken a closer look to jazz, pop, hip hop and rock music. I can use my experience to find good qualities in my students and develop them as much as possible. As an experienced violinist and a violin teacher, I offer violin lessons for students in every age and level of advancement. During our lessons, I will help you discover the beautiful and magical side of this instrument. BEGINNERS If you are a beginner, I will teach you some basic violin and music skills. In the first lessons, we will do simple exercises to teach you how to hold the violin and the bow in the correct and relaxed way. In the lessons, you will also learn some basic theory, reading music, and basic rhythms. From the beginning, you will be playing some nice, simple tunes and violin duets. The lessons are held in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. ADVANCED STUDENTS In our first lesson, we will talk about students’ needs expectations, and level of abilities and choose the right repertoire for you. If you need some help with music theory – I can also help you with pleasure! Lessons are available in English, Polish and basic Dutch (level A2) and take place in the heart of the Rotterdam City-Center!

My lessons are completely personalized. Based on your level, your goals and the time you can spend on the clarinet, we will decide together what is the best option for you. I offer several options: online or live class, the duration is from 30 minutes to 90 minutes and it can be every week or every two weeks. In a very calm and friendly environment, the classes are organized and planned according to the students goals/wishes. I can teach you about harmony, how to construct and play melodies and whatever interest in music you might have. Bandoneon is a very well know instrument for playing tango, in fact it's part of the genre's DNA. However, not many people know that the instrument was constructed in Germany and some people even say it was supposed to be used as an portable organ. This means that the Bandoneon has a technique that is independent of any genre. This technique is not found by coping other instruments such as the organ or keyboard but through the development of the nature of the instrument. This is mainly the importance of the air and how it is affected by the pulling and the movement we make when we play. Of course Tango will be an important axis of the lessons as it very important for the development of the instrument and for specific techniques but Tango won't be the starting point as it's not the best pedagogical tool for learning the instrument. But no worries, we'll get there ;) Have you ever wondered how a Gregorian chant, Bach, Mozart & Chopin might sound in the bandoneon? The results might surprise as you would get a very different sound from the one you are originally used to. Also, we can try and use the bandoneon for different and new genres, who knows what we might discover from the instrument along the way?

Piano/Keyboard lessons for beginners focus on piano basics; learning to read notes, read rhythms, play scales, basic chords and other essentials to play. This is a great way to introduce any young child to the joy of playing. Basic music theory will also be taught. Students are able to choose part of their repertoire based on what they enjoy, making lessons exciting and motivating. However, there will be pieces that is essential and mandatory. Our intermediate lessons will progress students to the next level.

This lesson is to understand and expand knowledge of music theory. We can go into very basics, modern/jazz music or classical music. My goal as teacher is to adapt the lessons, lessons and tools to yours skill and your final propuse. We will learn to analyse pieces, write/compose music and how to use this knowledge practically.

My name is Davide and my music experience started when I was 10 years old during my middle school in Italy. I started playing cello and I kept on studying classical music for 8 years, performing as a soloist and in many orchestras and ensembles. In the meanwhile, I started being interested in electronic music and composition for soundtracks. When I turned 17 I realized that music would have been my passion and my job. I graduated in “Contemporary Writing and Production” at Pescara Conservatory in Italy. During these studies, I dove deeper into Pop and Experimental Electronic Music, orchestration, and orchestral composition. I also had the opportunity to play in different bands and discover different genres such as Post Rock, Progressive Metal, and Heavy Metal. After my bachelor's degree, I finished my studies following a Master's program at Codarts (Rotterdam) in Creative Production. During those two years, I had the opportunity to collaborate with many people and explore different kinds of music (Turkish, Flamenco, Jazz, etc.). I wrote an Artistic Research about electronic unquantized music by analyzing the sound of producers such as Flume, Burial, and Arca. Now that my studies are finished I feel that I want to spread my knowledge and my passion to many people as possible. My class subjects are: - Music Production (from beginners to expert level, mainly Ableton Live and Pro Tools classes) - Cello Lessons (from beginners to intermediate level) - Music Theory (from beginners to expert level) - Composition and Orchestration (explore the world and joy of composing for an orchestra and how to use your DAW as a real symphonic orchestra). As a Producer, I want to let the student feel completely free to ask me whatever he/she wants. I have had many experiences as a producer and I know how to handle many different genres. My first teaching experience was at 17 years old and from that moment on I did not change my teaching set-up.
