MUSICAL EXPERIENCES

From a young age I have been fascinated by music. At the age of 6 I started to learn the piano thanks to my sisters who acted as teacher. I listened to them play and had fun with them. Later, I got interested in the harmony orchestra. I learned to play the bugle on my own and had the ambition to play in a group one day. At the age of 17, I had a revelation and I decided to embark on the musical path by learning the trumpet with Professor Guo Lian-Chang. The latter having studied in France, this country naturally attracted me. My musical background is rather atypical. Despite the music degree, obtained from National Tainan University, I felt uncomfortable in several areas. I was losing confidence in myself. I then joined the army for 8 years as a trumpeter in the Marine Harmony Orchestra. During 8 years in the navy, I participated in a drums-fanfare of the navy around the world, In July 14, 2015, I became interested in jazz when I participated in the International Summer Jazz Academy from Taipei to Taiwan. Before March 2017, I had never visited France before but I came to see Mr. Eric Aubier, fascinated by his reputation. In October 2017, I participated in the Eric Aubier International Trumpet Competition in Rouen. In September 2018, I came to the Rueil-Malmaison Conservatory to participate in the trumpet competition of Mr. Éric Aubier. During this competition, he kindly gave me advice allowing me better technical ease. Therefore, I decided to come to France to find out what I was capable of and expand my horizons. Living in France since September 18, 2018, I had the opportunity to participate in the Third Theo Charlier International Trumpet Competition 2019 in Namur. I took the Eric Aubier internship twice at the Royal Abbey of Celles-Sur-Belle and three times at the Trumpet Institute in Saint-Paul, France. I have two partners with whom I partner for various cultural projects such as musical performances or for courses with the participation of former students or other organizations with associative characters.
