Hi, my name is Alex, I come from France and I am currently in Melbourne for a 4 months internship.
I lived 8 years abroad and I am fluent in english so you don't have to worry about the french accent ;)

I have taught academic support to some of my classmates when I was in Preparatory class, I found it really interesting and that it helped me almost as much as it helped them. That is how I started teaching, I really liked it and I am now giving tutoring lessons :)

Tutoring in maths and science with 3 years of experience teaching maths and science to high school students. I am a biomedical engineering student in my final year. I specialize in physics, biology, maths and 1st and 2nd year engineering subjects. I would love to help students develop their skills.

Experienced for more than 18 years, I give private lessons in Mathematics - Analysis - Matrices - Statistics - Algebra - Geometry - Physics - Chemistry - Biology and Geology to students of French program (aefe) of Terminales, Bac, 1ère, Seconde, Brevet or international high school in Australia (in English), competitive examinations and medical university preparatory classes or 1st and 2nd university years or to CNED students for the 2022/2023 academic year either at home or by internet online by virtual class method (by a link that serves as a board and projection screen and writing by the teacher and the student plus zoom or skype).

I am quite passionate about sharing my knowledge, and not just teaching kids, but mentoring them during their course of study.

The first lesson would include understanding the needs of a student, his/her interests, core understanding of the topic, points of weakness, and method of studying. A study plan is drawn, and an end goal is decided. The course of the next lessons is to ensure that the study plan is stuck to and that it helps the student reach the final aim.

A regular lesson post that would begin with a quick revision of what was learned in the previous lesson, covering topics from the study plan, ensuring that the weak points are faced without fear. The end of the lesson is to reflect on what is studied for the day and how as a team the tutor and student can make it more productive.

I prioritize tutor-student communication as it's the first step towards understanding the wants of the student. I find it important that the student questions me during a lesson/asks doubts as the final goal is to improve the student's core understanding and not just teach him/her a topic.
