Hello! I am a pianist, currently studying at the Hochschule für Musik where I am starting a second master's degree in piano, after studyin in Barcelona and Bruxelles. I specialize in piano interpretation and I give private lessons. I have experience and pedagogical knowledge with students of different ages and levels and I enjoy giving lessons. I live in the centre of Basel and I can give lessons at your place or in my studio.
I have been teaching for 6 years to students of different levels (children of different levels and beginners to adults). I adapt to both the student's interests and personal abilities to make the class a place of mutual learning, always with music as the goal and enjoyment as the intention. We can do the course in French, English, Spanish or Catalan!

Hi! I am a pianist and I would love to help you become one. Music is my passion, both playing and teaching. In my lessons I try to give to the student ways to discover the piano and understand his language.

Orchestral musician and chamber musician, holder of a double master's degree in pedagogy and performance in France and abroad, I would be happy to accompany you on the way to learning violin. With 15 years of experience, I teach musical initiation, music theory and the viola that I have practiced in chamber music and of course the violin, my main instrument with which I perform in several orchestras and ensembles.

Since I have been teaching violin and music, not a day goes by that I tell myself that motivation and pleasure are the biggest drivers of learning. My name is Gianni, I'm a professional musician, currently living in Basel and doing my master's degree in double bass at the Musik Akademie Basel.
I've been playing and studying music since I was 7 years old; I started with classical guitar, then electric guitar and electric bass, then I started double bass and lately I'm learning saxophone.

I offer beginners' classes in piano and harpsichord for any age, and can additionally provide the basics in music theory.
A passionate learner myself, I started harpsichord at age 5 and have recently graduated with a Masters from the Hochschule für Musik Basel in Specialized Performance (Improvisation). My experience teaching started in New York where I taught school students piano and music theory. I am also a professional continuo player accompanying Baroque orchestras on the harpsichord, as well as a composer of experimental music.
My experience in very different musical scenes gives me a unique approach to studying that allows me to adapt the content and structure of lessons according to where the student wants to develop their skills. This can include focus on exercises like scales and arpeggios; studying simple pieces from Classical, Baroque or even Pop repertoire; figured bass; body posture awareness; and trying more experimental things through free improvisation techniques! I've also found that accompanying practice with theory helps to deepen one's understanding and joy at learning this beautiful music.

My name is Léna, and I offer violin lessons for all ages and skill levels. I have many years of experience in private instruction and am currently completing my Master of Pedagogy at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts (FHNW) in Basel. I particularly enjoy the duality of learning: building a solid foundation and working on technique, which ultimately allows one to experience complete freedom and joy on the instrument. I personally find the balance between the two by working according to the principles of the Alexander Technique and paying attention to physical health and the sustainability of playing. I implement this in my teaching; I find it very important to tailor the lessons, exercises, and method closely to the goals and personality of the students.

I also have a master's degree in violin with an old scale, which I completed at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Early music is my other great passion, so there's always the opportunity to learn about historical performance practice!

I am a piano teacher with over 30 years of experience, passionate about nurturing musical talent at every age and level. My name is Clara and I'm a cellist, teacher, and performer in Basel. I'm active in many different genres myself, which is why I can teach a wide variety of things on the cello :) It's important to me to create a learning atmosphere where both student and teacher feel comfortable. Student and teacher should meet as equals, as learning is most effective in a trusting environment.

Where do I come from musically?

It has always been important to me to explore all the possibilities my instrument offers. And to be honest, I'm not finished yet; the cello has so many facets to discover! I've already tried many different styles. I completed my Master's degree in Contemporary Music at the Basel Academy of Music in 2025. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Artistic Pedagogy in Freiburg. This gives me a solid foundation for teaching the instrument in a playful way and for unlocking the creativity of my students.

Can you also find me on stage?

Yes, mostly with my jazzy indie-pop band "Partiprivati". We write our own songs and I'm usually responsible for a good bassline :)

But also with Percaso String Quartet, with whom we only play string quartet works by women.

Or in Ensemble IPSO, a music theater project in which we try to blend the boundaries between music, theater and dance.

And always with solo performances at vernissages.
