ENGLISH: I have been teaching Turkish and Dutch to local and international adults and their children living in the Netherlands since 2020.
My main motivation for teaching my mother language is to contribute to Turkish children’s bilingual achievement and help Dutch-Turkish people close the cultural gap in their families.
My lessons are based on the needs of the individuals such as communication in daily life, reading business or project management documents and enjoying their time while exploring Turkish culture and cuisine.

Derslerim, günlük yaşamda iletişim, iş veya proje yönetimi belgelerini okumak ve Türk kültürü ile mutfağını keşfederek keyifli vakit geçirmek gibi bireylerin ihtiyaçlarına yöneliktir.

Ik ben in Turkije geboren en opgegroeid. Ik ben afgestudeerd aan de Universiteit van Ankara in Turkije op het gebied van economie. Ik heb mijn master opleiding in Verenigde Staten gemaakt. Toen ik bij de Wereldhandelsorganisatie in Switzerland werkte heb ik met mijn ex-man ontmoet. Na mijn huwelijk ben ik in Nederland gevestigd. Na inburgering en taalvaardigheid heb ik mij sinds 2006 op mijn “tweede carrière” georiënteerd als een interculturele relatie en taal coach. Mijn passie als taal coach is om mensen begeleiden in hun taal ontwikkeling om te genieten van interculturele communicatie.

As a dedicated teacher, I am offering my services to anyone (at any level) who wants to learn the Dutch language. I have experience in teaching all age groups and I a motivated to keep the students engaged and enthusiastic. Next to Dutch, I speak English, French, German and some Spanish. To live and reside in the Netherlands a certain level of Dutch is not only handy but also necessary if you want to have a job. As part of the process to become a Dutch national, you need a basic level of Dutch, being A1 to B2.

I am a certified Dutch teacher with 6 years of teaching experience. Besides teaching Dutch to Dutch high -school pupils in the years 1- 4 mavo/ havo/ vwo, I also have extensive experience teaching Dutch to expats/ foreigners.
I am therefore familiar with the “inburgeringsexamen” and the NT2 curriculum (Dutch for foreigners) for those who want to reside in the Netherlands.

I am very knowledgeable and teach with passion, creativity and enthousiasm. I love the Dutch language and teaching it to others, as well as interacting with all types of cultures and age ranges.

Could your son or daughter use some support with (reading comprehension), spelling, grammar or arithmetic? Let me help! I have worked as a remedial teacher in primary education for the past three years. I have helped students individually or in small groups with reading, spelling and arithmetic. I know the learning objectives and the reading comprehension method. I use the Kernvisie method, among other things, to strengthen the basics of reading, spelling and arithmetic. Think of: the alphabet, counting, sums up to 20, tables, spelling rules. The basics are so important!

When you come to live in the Netherlands as a foreigner, it is important that you have a good command of the language. Speaking skills first where listening skills are indispensable.
We will get to work so that you can manage in the Dutch language. Together we will see what is needed for this.

I have an NT-2 certificate and experience as an NT-2 teacher for small groups.
