This tutoring class is designed to support Mechanical Engineering students in mastering core concepts of thermodynamics. I cover key topics such as the First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics, energy conservation, entropy, thermodynamic cycles (Carnot, Rankine, Otto, Brayton), and the analysis of closed and open systems. Emphasis is placed on clear explanations, worked examples, and strategies for solving complex engineering problems.

• Basic Concepts: Systems (closed, open), properties, processes, and energy forms

The lessons run as follows. First, we look together for the student's biggest stumbling blocks. These can be related to the subject matter as well as to the study method. From there, I work at the pace of the student and encourage them to ask as many questions as possible. I also give tips and tricks, and improve their working methods where necessary.
