In my typical communication and writing class, I focus on engaging students through a hands-on, interactive approach. I believe in fostering an environment where students feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and ideas. My classes often begin with a brief introduction to the day’s topic, whether it’s vocabulary building, sentence structure, or crafting compelling narratives. I encourage participation by incorporating group discussions, writing exercises, and real-life examples to make the content relatable. During the lessons, I emphasize clarity, coherence, and creativity in writing. I guide students on how to effectively organize their thoughts and use precise vocabulary to convey their messages. We analyze various writing styles, dissecting passages to understand tone, style, and purpose. Feedback is a crucial part of the process, so I regularly provide constructive criticism, helping students identify areas for improvement while celebrating their strengths. I also prioritize practical application, encouraging students to write short pieces during class, which we review together. This allows them to immediately apply what they’ve learned and improve through practice. By the end of the class, my goal is for students to leave feeling more confident in their communication skills and inspired to continue refining their writing abilities.

As a recent graduate of Mountview and having worked in the industry for five years, I would love to now share my passion for acting! In my classes, I would like to give the student as much freedom as possible. The student can bring a piece of text they would like to work on or I can suggest material. We will explore different methods of getting to the truth of the character whilst also making sure to analyze the text to best represent what the writer has written. Dependent on the level and what the student wants from the lessons, we will talk about targets, objectives and many more important concepts when analyzing a character and piece of text. My passion in acting is to find the truth of the character but also to allow for the actors' unique personality and experience to bring interesting choices to their work and, ultimately, to have fun and enjoy this incredible way to tell a story ! My classes are open to all ages and levels. I have five years of experience working with children and teenagers through being an actor and workshop leader on Theatre In Education tours. Recently I started working as an after school drama club teacher and producer and realized how much I enjoyed sharing and working with others on the skills of an actor and performer.

You will learn Systematic Reasoning & Logical Thinking which is a requirement for entering Computer Science program in many universities. The book “Delftse Foundations of Computation” especially its second chapter will be the main source of our lesson, but other more in-depth books will be also covered if you want to improve even further on logical thinking.
