Preparation for entrance exams (Math, Physics, Chemistry) or resit examsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Holding a master's degree in civil engineering physics with high distinction, I offer mathematics and physics tutoring for secondary school students. Beyond the transmission of knowledge, I attach particular importance to the development of critical thinking in students. My goal is to lead students to ask the right questions: What does a calculation mean? What is its purpose? Why do we use this method? What is the objective behind an exercise? This approach allows us to move beyond purely mechanical learning towards a deeper and more lasting understanding. I also encourage students to develop their critical thinking skills regarding the methods used: Is the answer consistent? Is the chosen method relevant? Why perform this calculation rather than another? The goal is to teach them to understand what they are doing. Thanks to my academic background, I have encountered numerous situations where mathematics and science are used to solve real-world problems. This allows me to explain to students the purpose of science courses, showing them the actual use of the concepts studied and how they apply in concrete contexts. My teaching method also relies on learning through practice: exercises are central to the learning process. They allow students to solidify concepts, develop good reflexes, and learn to structure their thinking when faced with a problem. I guide the student through this process by helping them analyze, understand, and solve exercises progressively and independently. I therefore seek to transmit a genuine working method: analyze a problem, structure it, translate it into mathematical language, solve it logically and efficiently, and above all develop autonomous and critical thinking in the face of the problems encountered.

Private lessons in maths - chemistry - physics in French, Dutch and EnglishTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Hello, My name is Maximilien, I am 23 years old and I am currently a Master 2 student at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL) where I am pursuing a Master's degree in Energy Engineering in English. After completing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering at UCLouvain (physics-chemistry and mechanics option), I decided to continue my studies at the neighboring university. The subjects I teach are mathematics, chemistry and physics. Having also obtained my humanities diploma at Sint-Jan Berchmanscollege, I can give lessons in French, Dutch or English. I like to actively involve my students in the course so that they understand the material well but above all that they find interest in it. I start from the principle that it is difficult to succeed in a subject without appreciating it a minimum and above all finding what it really serves us for! In general, I like to start by reviewing the latest questions/exams to assess the level and needs of the student. Then we go through the theory necessary to carry out the exercises and finally finish with exercise sessions together. I am a dynamic and attentive person who quickly understands students (I was in their shoes not so long ago), which allows me to create a relationship of trust, so that the student feels comfortable and asks ALL the questions he has, and does not hesitate to say when things are not going well.

For a few months now Mathias is tutoring, on weekly basis, my daughter and we have seen great improvements in her school results as well as general understanding of math. Mathias is patient, gracious and professional tutor.

Very good experience. My son really appreciate the way he explains maths: simple and clear. Very good suggestions on methods to approach the subject.

Excellent professional. She came close with kid at no time. She has a kids-friendly approach, which is something I wanted. Authentic smile.
