Course Structure and Content My music production courses are tailored to your interests and the software you wish to master. The theoretical and technical foundations are thoroughly covered in each course and include: microphones, signal chain (EQ, compressors, effects, etc.), signal flow, mixing, and mastering. Ableton Live - Electronic Production This course is dedicated to electronic music production. We delve into sound design, synthesizers, and live performance. You will learn to create original sounds and integrate them into your productions. Logic Pro - Recording and Arrangement Focused on recording and arranging acoustic and electroacoustic music, we explore arrangement, composition, and professional recording techniques to best capture and process your musical ideas. Pro Tools - Mixing and Post-Production Dedicated to professional mixing and sound post-production (including sound design for film and television). We delve into mixing techniques, mastering, sound cleaning (iZotope RX), spatialization, and advanced techniques (Beat Detective, Melodyne, etc.). Personalized approach The course is structured together according to your specific objectives to guarantee comprehensive training tailored to your real needs.

Formation Lab is a Music & Digital Media learning startup in Aix-en Provence We provide lessons in audio and music production for beginners to intermediates (ages 7 upwards) Classes can be on an individual basis or in groups. Even though we have a room full of interesting sound equipment (synths, loop stations, drumpads, keyboards etc), we also have a digital learning model for distance learning based on the Cloud-based platform ‘Soundtrap’. The projects are fun, but also structured, and follow the excellent guidance of ShedTheMusic - a curriculum used by music schools including Berklee School of Music.

Do you want to learn to write, record or produce your own music? Or are you interested in sound design? Then I can help you further! Music production and recording technology may seem complicated at first glance, but in our 1-on-1 private lessons we can discuss the creative and technical tools you need to unleash your own creativity. Whether it's songwriting, recording techniques or beat making, we can do it all together. All genres are welcome. During the lessons we can learn to work with different programs, such as Logic, Pro Tools or Ableton. The lessons are for students of all ages and levels. Knowledge of solfège is not required. I studied guitar and music production at the Conservatory in Ghent and have been active as a professional musician for several years. I have 12 years of experience as a private teacher.
