I am a recently retired math teacher, I give private math lessons at home, I start by reviewing the course received by the student in the class then teach him the necessary formulas, we start with the exercises, either from the school textbook or downloaded from the internet and these exercises are in increasing order of difficulty.
Before each test assignment, we do a review the day before the assignment.
