Intro to Electronic Music (level 1) - discover if an electronic music career is for youTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Intro to Electronic Music (level 1) - discover if an electronic music career is for youTranslate this text using Google Translate.

This workshop is designed for people who are intrigued by Electronic Music at beginner’s level. The contents and approach of this Workshop are, overall, not too technical yet, and rather more directed to enlighten curious learners about the potential career opportunities in the music scene. If you are considering following your dream of becoming an electronic music artist, but are not sure how to start, this Workshop is for you! Divided in 3 sessions, it proposes a raw and honest dive into the key factors and tools to consider when contemplating an artistic career in the electronic music scene. It starts by making a recap on Electronic music’s history, the main agents in the scene, and the importance of the various roles within this ecosystem. Chapter 1 (first session) also oversees the main differences between a DJ, a Music Producer and a Live act performer, their distinct practices, examples of the gear they use, and the unique daily dynamics they face. In the second chapter (session 2), it zooms in on what is needed to get started in Music Production (beginner level). Besides some tools and relevant concepts on this matter, session 2 will explore a DAW (music production software), and go through the basics of how to use it to start the first song. If the session is provided IRL, some electronic music machines will be available onsite to touch, to play and to record using Ableton Live Suite 11. The public will be invited to touch the mixer and get a feeling of what each button does; will have the chance to interact with the machines, eventually record their own composition, and understand how to start a basic structure of a song on Ableton. In case session 2 is provided URL, students may use their own gear at home in case they have it; if not, they can simply follow the flow as we do some exercises sharing the screen live. We will not dive too deep into mixing techniques here yet, nor will we finish the workshop with everything figured out - which would be confusing for beginner level. We will rather explain, in a nutshel what it means to be an artist in this scene, how to start making music, and which tools exist. The Workshop finishes on session 3 with a few exercises and practical tools, but also an uplifting reflection, meant to empower the visitor pursue their own path: “Which one of these activities resonates more with my unique personality?" "Now that I have a clue on the work that each one of them imply, which one is the best for me to step forward, and eventually kickstart my own career?" "How can I positively contribute to this ecosystem, and creatively feed into it?” "What should I buy in order to start my own, personal music path?" If you’re fond of electronic music, and willing to contribute to it - but not sure where to start from -, this Introduction to Electronic Music Workshop is for you. Everyone is welcome. Women (cis and non-cis), FLINTA and LGBTQA+ individuals are particularly encouraged to join. Expect an informal, safe environment where playfulness and vulnerability are cherished, where community exchange and collective learning make space for fun and growth.

Music Production & Ableton Live with an Established Professional – Beginners WelcomeTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Complete beginners are very welcome. You do not need previous production experience or music theory. Whether you are opening Ableton for the first time, struggling to finish tracks, or already producing and want to improve your sound, I tailor each lesson to your level, musical taste, and goals. We can work on Ableton Live, MIDI, sampling and workflow; turning loops into finished tracks; arrangement and song structure; sound design, synthesizers and effects; mixing and mastering; developing your own sound; detailed feedback on your productions; and practical advice about releases, labels, DJing and the music industry. The lessons are practical and centred on your own music. We can work directly on your projects or build a track together from scratch. I am Lars, an international DJ and music producer with more than 25 years of experience. I have released music on labels including Golden Recordings, Mobilee, Nervous, Katermukke, Stil Vor Talent and Kittball, worked with Boris Dlugosch and Phil Fuldner, and produced remixes for Purple Disco Machine and Claptone. I have performed at venues and festivals including Watergate Berlin, Pacha Ibiza, Printworks London, Tomorrowland and Fusion Festival. Lessons are available in English or German via Zoom with screen sharing and high-quality audio.

Lofi and chill beats production in Ableton Live: from first idea to Spotify releaseTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Lofi and chill beats production in Ableton Live: from first idea to Spotify releaseTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Would you like to learn how to make relaxed lo-fi beats, how to incorporate your own guitar or melody ideas into Ableton, or are you looking for someone to take a look at your projects in an approachable way? I would be happy to help you with this! Under the artist name Vidalima, I have been making lofi and chill music in Ableton myself for a few years. I release my tracks on Spotify (with over 2 million streams in the past year) and through various lofi labels. I know how difficult it can be when you are just starting out, get stuck in the software, or don't quite know how to make a beat sound 'warm' and atmospheric. We take a practical and relaxed approach. No complicated theory, just tinkering with your songs together. What we can get started with: Tinkering together in Ableton: Handy tips and clever tricks to develop your ideas faster and get that chill vibe in your projects. From idea to complete track: How to turn a loose guitar riff, sample, or catchy beat into a full-fledged lo-fi song that flows nicely. Making it sound warm & spacious: Listening to your track together and using simple basic steps (such as volume, EQ, and balance) to ensure your beat sounds clear and warm. Sharing experiences with lofi releases: I enjoy sharing my own experiences as Vidalima regarding finishing tracks, uploading to Spotify, and contacting lofi playlist curators, other artists, and labels. Whether you have just installed Ableton or already have a few sketches lying around that you are stuck on: we will look at what you need together, at your own pace!
