Soy Cristopher, profesor de matemáticas en formación, con práctica realizada en establecimientos como el Saint George's College y el Liceo Gabriel González Videla, tengo 23 años lo cual me vuelve un docente más cercano para los estudiantes, conozco las modas actuales, juegos, libros, películas, en general los gustos de los estudiantes, y aprovecho esto para "personalizar" el aprendizaje, el material que utilizo, las tareas que deje, serán todas específicamente para el estudiante, considerando sus gustos, fortalezas y debilidades. El objetivo además de obtener buenas calificaciones, las cuales las tendrá, será el que el estudiante pierda el miedo a las matemáticas, ese miedo que genera un bloqueo en el aprendizaje y provoca ansiedad. Así el estudiante podrá volver a incorporarse al aprendizaje matemática mediante el razonamiento lógico, pensamiento crítico y la resolución de problemas. Veo la matemática como algo más que un proceso mecánico de copiar, memorizar y repetir, si no más bien como una herramienta para desarrollarse como ser humano y entender el mundo que nos rodea, y es esta visión la que intento trasladar a mis clases de matemáticas. Utilizo una encuesta (forms) para conocer un poco más al estudiante (previo a la clases), para saber como le gusta aprender, que se le hace más fácil, que siente al estar frente a una clase de matemáticas, cuales son sus gustos, hobbies, y desarrollo material personalizado en base a las respuestas obtenidas.

Yogesh has been preparing me for the OMPT-A test for the last few weeks and has clearly explained all the chapters that we have gone through so far. He has prepared slides show for each tutoring lesson, that clearly explained the topic and included mathematical questions which would check my knowledge. He is always opened to feedback and any questions that I may have if I don't understand something. He has also given me additional questions to practice after the lessons to improve my knowledge.
