I worked in a language school and at universities, and I suppose I gained success. 😀 I have been teaching Turkish professionally for 15 years. I also taught Turkish for 4 years when I was a university student. Learning a new language opens a new window into a person; teaching Turkish is the same for me! As I build a stronger relationship with my students, I notice their engagement with the Turkish language also deepens. I could speak English well and a bit of Italian. I learned Persian and German grammar. I am interested in literature and also a bit in music. Me as a Teacher: I hold firm to two main principles: providing a comfortable environment and creating an encouraging atmosphere. My students always tell me that I am patient, positive and well-organized. I have developed an aptitude for making learning Turkish much easier, more efficient and practical. My professionalism also allows me to tailor language education according to individual interests, needs, and capacities. I use a book prepared by a university in Turkey. My lessons & teaching style: Even though I use a communicative approach, my lessons are supported by a solid knowledge of grammar because Turkish has a very different structure. I use a book set that Istanbul University prepares. The course book is structured with a strategic approach to learning Turkish by using all the language skills: reading, grammar, writing, listening, watching, and speaking from A1 to C2. All these skills are essential for conversation. I will give you tips on how to study Turkish, so you can work more effectively and learn Turkish well. The workbook includes many exercises for homework or revision. I support the book with my authentic materials. I use a board that you can see anytime, and you can edit it, too. Repetition-based speaking practice plays an important role in my lessons. I will share all the materials (books, audio, videos, authentic materials) with you according to your level. Notes: There are 5 levels in total in Turkish: A1-A2 level (basic), B1-B2 level (intermediate), C1+ (advanced). I am following a class with Başak to learn turkish. The lessons are held in english. This course covers pronunciation, grammar and free speaking which are also adapted to daily life situations as well as speaking about yourself. I have experienced a very well organized and structured teacher on a professional basis. The teacher gives clear instructions, pays attention to the pronunciation and corrects you when needed, which is crucial for the turkish pronunciation. The course fees contain the tuition as booked and course material as the class is accompanied by a book (workbook and exercise book) and audio files. The books are sent to you in advance, makes it very convenient to take a print out or as a digital version on your tablet/PC/phone. Between the lessons homework will be assigned and checked by her via mail and discussed in the next lesson. So far, I am very happy with the lessons and I am also confident that I will improve my turkish steadily in the future with her. Thanks

Miss Sara is a very good teacher. She has a way to keep my 6 year old daughter engaged and encouraged while increasing her abilities in French. I have seen my daughter improve drastically. She challenges her and she started reading many words in the space of 3 months when she could not before in French. The exercises she gives touches a wide range of topics (syllables, vocabulary, sentance building etc) that has allowed my English speakig daughter to cope well in her French school environment. She started understanding what people say to her in French which is amazing.

I had booked Emma to help to improve my children’s English. We had 3 hours of English lessons for 4 days in a row for our three children (10/12/14 years old) and participate ourselves. Emma made it fun for them to learn and took individual care of the different need. Our children and also Mum & Dad enjoyed a lot.
