THE PROFILE

Marc-Olivier has become a specialist while continuing to write his books (novels and tales), screenplays for the cinema, and to produce and direct his own films.
He designed the courses based on his books and his experience as a teacher.
His handbook on writing, Le petit manuel du scénariste, prefaced by Frédéric Sojcher, was a great success and followed all the American screenplay theoreticians: Robert McKee, John Truby, Syd Field, Blake Snyder...
His second book on writing, Le petit manuel du script-docteur with a preface by Luc Jabon, offers an analysis methodology aimed at professionals or seasoned authors.
His third book on the subject offers a new approach to constructing a story: L'accident de vie, the key to constructing a scenario prefaced by Jean-Marie Roth and which will still be released by Amand Colin in January 2023.

After his studies, Marc-Olivier worked in radio, theater and then as a designer-editor in advertising. All these writing techniques push him towards writing screenplays for cinema and television. Expert in Wu Dao, a Sino-Vietnamese Martial Art, he created his own school in Paris in 1994.
In 2000, he made a documentary on the history of Vietnamese Martial Arts, "Les Fils du Ciel" which will merge his two passions: Asia and cinema.
It was while watching one of his short films, “La Main sur le Coeur”, that his master of calligraphy gave him his pseudonym Lou Ma Ho (the one who broadcasts the word of Confucius in the West).
In 2005, he directed "L'Eveil du Moine" a film which received numerous awards at festivals around the world and was screened in many countries. In 2006, he directed Nico, and in 2008 the medium-length film "Cellule Morte" which will have a good run.
His latest film "Koan de Printemps" a fiction set in Vietnam (75mn), was released on French screens in January 2016. In 2019, he directed "Le thé au fond de la théière".
Today, he is working on the production of the film "Le Chevalier Invincible", a philosophical tale set in France. Production Maki Films (shooting scheduled for January 2023).
