Being a professional myself, I know how to help you improve your portfolio or if you are looking for something more hobby-oriented, I can encourage you to take on creative exercises and develop ideas. I aim for my lessons to be engaging and I respect everyone's needs and pace whilst in a learning environment. I offer personalised drawing lessons, where we explore creative exercises and I can help with any challenges you bring to the table. Some of the specific methods and drawing/painting techniques I can share include: - Proportions and Space - Observational Drawing. - Stylised Drawing - Sketchbook exercises/routines - Charcoal, Watercolours, Line Art, Digital Art - 2D Animation techniques I can also give you specific feedback on any current projects you have (school or university-related as well) and mentor your progress. I'm an independent artist, specialising in 2D Animation and Illustration. I'm currently living in Scotland, I'm doing freelance work and I have directed award-winning animation shorts that had their way around the world through film festival tours. I'm originally from Portugal and I moved to the UK for education purposes. I graduated from the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham with a 1st Class BA(Hons) Animation Degree. This class supports students who wish to enter the world of drawing or improve their drawing practice in the classical tradition. Students will learn to take a slow, thoughtful, methodical approach to observing light and form and depicting it on a surface using principles of shape, proportion and tone, and a balance of optical and conceptual knowledge. This class is suitable for beginner students who want to explore a new method of drawing, and also for those who are already familiar with drawing and wish to refine their skills.

In my classes I welcome students of all levels, from beginners to advanced. I also teach in English. I use a method based on the student's goals and needs. It doesn't matter if it's just a hobby or if you want something more professional. The structure adapts perfectly to what you're looking for and can change throughout the course. My goal isn't just for you to learn, but for you to have fun while you improve. We'll learn using your favorite series, comics, and webtoons. No boring exercises, just drawing. We'll analyze the work of the artists you admire, and you'll learn the tricks that real professionals use. I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.
