I offer double bass lessons for all levels: beginners, amateurs, students, children and adults. Together we get to know the instrument step by step, we ensure the correct posture of the body as well as the approach to music theory and playing technique. I adapt to the needs, wishes and goals for each student.
For this, I like to teach with patience and kindness, in order to free my students from the pressure of error and to help them develop their own musical sense.
In general, I start a lesson with a few warm-up exercises (with or without an instrument), if possible in the form of a game and linked to the lesson material. Then I check the material the student has learned at home, correct it and improve their technique. Most of the time, I like to accompany the student on the double bass in order to improve his musicality and his listening skills. At the end of a lesson and if time permits, I like to improvise.
I want to pass on my knowledge to my students and discover the world of music with them in order to share with others the pleasure of making music.

About Me
Originally from Switzerland, I honed my musical skills here, but also in the Netherlands. This diversity of places of study allowed me not only to learn a lot about the instrument, but also to grow as an open-minded person. All these encounters and enriching experiences, which make me the person I am today, would not have happened if I had not started playing the double bass fifteen years ago. I now want to become a teacher in order to pass on the knowledge that I have acquired during these many trips and to give this chance that I have had to others.
As a musician, I think the role of the music teacher is to help students develop their love of the instrument and of music in general. For me, music is synonymous with sharing emotions, experimentation and exploration. It is always a pleasure to see the expression of a student when he discovers a new technique on his instrument or when he is impatient to play a new piece.
As a teacher, I try to do my best to guide my students in their learning process. I help them decode and appreciate emotions, meanings and other characters differently than a sheet music using music theory, technique learning, mind training and mind awareness. body. All this in the most playful, motivating and innovative way possible. On the other hand, I am always interested in new repertoires, as well as new ideas and new challenges in order to discover and teach this instrument nowadays.
