I have studied Piano Performance and Musicology at top universities in the UK and graduated with distinction. I have 7 years of teaching experience and an ABRSM Diploma certificate for Piano Performance. I design different lesson plans for every single student depending on their goals, levels, learning methods, interests, and abilities. You or your child will learn to become a complete musician, with not only performance techniques but also other highly transformative abilities: sightreading skills, aural skills, theory knowledge, and above all, good taste in music. This class is for anyone interested in learning the guitar, from absolute beginners to more advanced players looking to further improve their playing. I teach all styles of music from classical and jazz to pop and rock. I teach chords, lead guitar, songs, improvisation, music theory and much more. My lessons are tailored for my students. I teach whatever they want to learn, but will be able to prepare lessons for anyone not sure where they want to go. I also teach grades such as ABRSM and Rockschool. I'm a composer and I have a Master degree in composition, conducting and orchestral percussion instruments. I used to teach percussion, drums and music theory, and I like to teach and share composition subjects such as orchestration, instrumentation, harmony and counterpoint, ear training, solfeggio and music theory, score analysis, audio recording, digital music notation.

I have instructed students of different age groups in saxophone performance and music theory (including counterpoint, harmony and composition) up until university level, in Spain and the UK. After graduating from Cambridge with a double starred first, taking into consideration my academic results and teaching experience, I have also been selected for inclusion in the Supervisor Registry to teach counterpoint and harmony papers. My approach to lessons is very flexible, and I always try to adapt to the needs and qualities of each student. I believe that communication is essential, and at the beginning of each lesson I ask my students if they found my recommendations from the previous lesson helpful and how they see their progress. After this spoken introduction, we proceed to work on some warm-up and technical exercises. Then, we play some studies and pieces, or go over some music theory exercises, trying to apply the advice from the previous lesson and make further improvements. Finally, we conclude the lesson with a summary, listing the main key points and suggestions and comparing our experience to the previous lessons, trying to find a clear sense of progression and a coherent line of work towards a certain goal. This teleological mindset occupies a central position in my methodology, and I always encourage my students to look ahead and plan a series of stimulating events or challenges to look foward to, such as a concert, a recital, a presentation or an exam.

The theory of everything tends to be really scary and music theory can be too. I am very keen to make music theory easy for everyone. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages.
