This comprehensive course prepares future pilots for the PPL (Private Pilot Licence) theoretical exam, the first step towards a private pilot's license for airplanes.
It covers all the aeronautical knowledge necessary for understanding, safety and flight preparation according to European standards (EASA).
The program will cover the nine official modules:
• Aviation regulations (Air Law): rules of the air, airspace, onboard documents.
• General knowledge of aircraft: engines, instruments, systems and maintenance.
• Flight performance and planning: calculations of mass, center of gravity, fuel, takeoff and landing distance.
• Human factors: physical and psychological limits of the pilot, safety and decision-making.
• Meteorology: understanding and interpretation of weather phenomena and their effects on flight.
• Navigation: map reading, compass use, GPS and navigation calculations.
• Operational procedures: management of normal and emergency situations.
• Principles of flight: aerodynamic basics and operation of flight controls.
• VFR communications: radiotelephony and aeronautical phraseology in English and French.
