Private language classes: English and Dutch for both beginners and advanced (A1-C2 CEFR)Translate this text using Google Translate.

My name is Arno and I am currently getting my master's degree at Sciences Po Paris in European Affairs. I have always loved languages. I was raised in a trilingual environment through which I learned Dutch, English, and Armenian. Being raised in this environment has changed the way I look at languages. Besides these three, I also speak Norwegian, Spanish, and French at a B2 level (CEFR) as well as Arabic at B1 level (CEFR). I have more than 5 years of professional experience in language tutoring and know what works and what does not. I have tutored high school and college students and have taught languages to students as young as 7 and as old as 63. My most rewarding language tutoring experience was teaching Dutch to Syrian refugees. Through them, I truly understood the importance of language and how it can connect people from across the world. My personal approach to language learning as a combination of learning how to speak quickly and truly understanding grammar. I try to integrate conversations in the target language from the first class, while at the same time teaching grammar in an accessible way. I understand that students often find grammar daunting, but with the right approach, it truly does not have to be. I do not believe in a "first learn, then apply" approach. When I teach, I want students to start engaging with the language from day one. Whether you have been studying for years, or you are starting from scratch, I am sure that we can make you feel more confident in your abilities in no time!

Private tutoring at home from elementary school (CP) to middle school (3e) in Rouen – 23 years of teaching experienceTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Does your child need to progress, regain confidence, or benefit from personalized support to achieve greater success? I offer personalized home-based academic support for students from CP to 3e, with regular monitoring adapted to the level, pace and needs of each child. My goal is not simply to help your child finish their homework, but to teach them an effective working method, to help them understand their obstacles and to enable them to gradually become independent. Personalized support Each student has their own strengths, difficulties, and way of learning. The sessions are tailored to your child's needs and may include: * homework help * the upgrade * understanding of the courses * the methodology and organization of work * memorization techniques * preparing for the tests * regaining confidence in learning. The goal is to establish good work habits and enable the student to make lasting progress. Solid experience in teaching I have been teaching for over 20 years to children, teenagers and adults, including 12 years specifically dedicated to academic support. Over the years, I have supported students with very diverse profiles: students needing to regain confidence, students wishing to improve their results, or students seeking better organization in their work. An International Chess Master since 2006, I have guided many young people in their progress. This experience has allowed me to develop a teaching method based on listening, patience, and adapting to each student. My journey in a few figures * 23 years of teaching experience * 12 years of experience in academic support * International Chess Master since 2006 * nearly 18,000 hours of teaching * Hundreds of children and teenagers supported in their progress. Why choose home tutoring? Individual lessons at home offer fully personalized support: * Your child receives undivided attention during the session * His needs are identified more quickly * The working methods and exercises are adapted to his level and objectives * Parents can follow its development more closely. Before the first lesson, I speak with the parents to understand the student's needs and to define priority objectives together. My goal: to support your child over the long term so that they progress, regain confidence in their abilities and develop an effective working method to succeed more calmly.

Learn Korean language, culture with a native speaker (Coréen)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Hello dear students! My name is Ran. I was born and raised in Korea and lived in China, France. I'm currently living in Brussels, Belgium. I speak Korean, English, French and a little Chinese. I also worked as professional tour guide in France and now I'm taking a tour guide course to become a licensed tour guide in Belgium. So I'm passionate about culture, art and history etc. <My strong point> 1. To be fluent in a foreign language requires to understand not only the language itself but also the culture and history. So you are at the right address! Since I worked as tour guide, I can introduce you very unique and full of interesting Korean traditions in a fun way ! 2. I'm quite good at cooking too. So you can learn Korean while cooking Korean dishes with me in my place. We will enjoy tasty and fun time together ! (You can book my cooking class on apprentus) 3. When you learn Korean, you will realize that there are many Korean words of Chinese origin, we call those words ''Hanja''. In fact, about 60 percent of Korean words are of Chinese origin. You can learn these words easily and efficiently with me as I'm learning Chinese as well. Each lesson will be customized based on your need. To me, learning a language should be fun and I'm very enthusiastic on teaching. My lessons are structured in a way that is fun and enjoyable. You will learn practical stuff that you need for everyday life with me. I will employ various multimedia and pictures too. With my lessons, you'll realize that you're getting closer to Korean language. I can help students of all ages, from children to adults for all levels. And I give both online and face-to-face class. Please feel free to let me know what your focus is or what you would like to improve. If you have any questions about my lesson, you can send me message anytime. I'll respond you as soon as possible. I hope to see you in class soon. Thank you for reading my profile.

Native English Tutor for Intermediate to Advanced: Goal-Focused Lessons for Precise, Persuasive, Professional EnglishTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Native English Tutor for Intermediate to Advanced: Goal-Focused Lessons for Precise, Persuasive, Professional EnglishTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I specialise in taking your English from functional to precise, persuasive, and professional in the moments that matter to you: job interviews, academic presentations, subject-specific exams, and high-stakes conversations. ** MY APPROACH IS PERFECT FOR ** **Goal-Focused Learners** You have a clear, specific target (job interview, subject-specific exam, or social situation) and want efficient lessons built around that one goal rather than generic textbook units. I quickly diagnose your starting point and design a focused plan so every session moves you measurably closer to that outcome. **Learners Seeking In-Depth and Nuanced Feedback** You already communicate well in English but want to refine argument, tone, and style so your rhetoric is precise and powerful. We dig into structure and word choice, and you get detailed, line-by-line feedback that turns “correct” English into compelling English. **STEM students & corporate professionals** You work in a technical or business environment and need your English to match your expertise. Drawing on my experience in tech and corporate strategy, I help you refine the vocabulary, jargon, and communication patterns you use in reports, slide decks, emails, and meetings so you sound as confident and credible in English as you are in your field. ** TEACHING ETHOS** I have lived and worked in 7 countries and self-taught 3 languages so I have strong sense for the situations where complete confidence in a new language is critical: being able to quickly and fluidly reply in a social setting, using the appropriate jargon to convey complex ideas in an academic settings, confidently asserting your opinions in a business meeting, navigating bureaucracies in your new home country, ensuring that job applications and interviews genuinely reflect your abilities. I also understand the effort and opportunity cost that can go into making time to study a language and, having been on the other side of this platform looking for tutors in German, I appreciate the leap of faith when choosing a tutor. As a result I am committed to delivering you the best value for money lesson with high-impact and targeted learning strategies which set you up to continue progressing until our next session. More on our lesson structures below. ** ABOUT ME ** - I am a native English speaker from New Zealand with excellent academic writing skills and deep appreciation for the finer points of the English language. I have won several speech awards and an NZQA scholarship for Literature. - Scored 97th percentile for Verbal Reasoning on GRE & 94th percentile for Critical Reading on SAT. - Former executive for a fortune 500 company and worked in tech development for many years (SpaceX research grant, patent for computer vision) - B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign - Current graduate student in Science and Technology Studies at TUM - Experience tutoring academic writing and physics, mentoring elite students, and coaching students in various competitive environments ** TEACHING STYLE ** - My teaching style is calm, organised and collaborative. In our first lessons I like to “diagnose” what scenarios or milestones matter to you and what is really blocking your English. - Based on the scenarios and milestones we will work with role play those exact situations and work with real-life texts (meetings, errands, presentations, phone calls etc) so I can explain why some phrases and structures work better than others, and then we can practise them until they feel natural. - Based on the blockers we can zoom in on the problem areas—whether they be vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar habits, or structural uncertainty—and then build a simple, efficient plan to fix it. ** LESSON STRUCTURE ** In our first lesson we will talk about your goals, current level, and one concrete situation or text that matters to you (a presentation, interview, exam, email, or everyday scenario). We will do a short diagnostic (speaking and, if useful, a short piece of writing) and then design a study plan that fits around your schedule and focuses on the skills you actually need rather than generic textbook units. Typical lessons include a mix of: - Roleplaying specific situations with clear feedback on pronunciation, rhythm and natural phrasing - Discussing texts which require defending an opinion using vocab and rhetorical techniques specific to your goals - Focused examination of problem areas to identify underlying misunderstanding or pattern - Spaced interval repetition of mistakes from previous weeks - If applicable: Academic or professional writing support; targeted grammar and vocabulary work; exam preparation including test strategies and timed practice using real tasks - After each session you leave with a short, realistic practice task and clear notes, so you know exactly what to focus on before our next lesson.

Carol is a very good Spanish teacher ; she prepares her classes very well and the classes are very structured with slides. Carol takes the time to explain all the theory and helps to put the theory in Spanish conversations. Carol also give homework after a Spanish class and correct the homework. That helps a lot to improve. Carol also insist in learning the Spanish verbs every week so you learn them every week. She is always very friendly and is always there to help with homework and the lessons. I learned a lot with the Spanish classes of Carol and thanks to Carol my Spanish improved a lot. I also learned to give a presentation in Spanish. I recommend the Spanish classes from Carol !

With a Masters Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language, Yimer is obviously very qualified but he also has a gift of teaching that is very effective in making progress on the learning journey. Part of this has to be in his patience and being a teacher that has a way of explaining things, both in English and Spanish, that make learning easier. I have had quite a few Spanish tutors over the years but Yimer, is clearly the best.

It is really fun to study with Ran. She explains everything really well, she is considering one's needs and she loves and is passionate about teaching Korean. That encourages me even more to study Korean with her. She has a wonderful understanding of the Korean language as a whole and I am really very grateful to have her as my teacher. I can recommand Ran to anyone.
