Introduction to Philosophy. Ethical and Civic Education
From 1.63 £ /h
A teaching of this type is based on the approach of situations that account for practices and conceptions of social life, which can be questioned from ethics, politics, law, in order to advance in the learning of the knowledge developed in these fields, while enriching the range of criteria from which each one acts and makes decisions in their daily life. The distinction of the types of norms –moral, legal, traditional, religious, etc.– that are involved in the situation allows us to understand that each of them has its own dynamics. It focuses its purposes on social practices, since the teaching process starts from them and tries to transform them. These are relationship practices with others, with oneself and with the environment, whose characteristics are the subject of reflection from different fields of knowledge. Disciplines such as ethics, law and politics seek to establish well-founded prescriptions for the orientation of these practices, from different perspectives and in different regulatory registers. In this course we propose to question them in community.

About Me
I have been a primary, middle and higher level teacher since 2008. There is nothing I like more in the world than explaining philosophy. If you have any subject that is hindering you in your university course of studies or if you just didn't like it in high school and want to give it another try but don't know how to start: I'll help you.
