Organic chemistry can feel overwhelming when reactions, mechanisms, and reagents start blending together. I help students make the subject more organized by breaking problems into clear patterns they can recognize and apply on exams. In our lessons, we work directly through practice problems, missed questions, study guides, or ACS-style review. Students learn how to identify the reaction family, understand what the reagent is doing, find the key nucleophile and electrophile when relevant, and predict the product more confidently. For Organic Chemistry 1, lessons may cover substitution and elimination, alkene and alkyne reactions, stereochemistry, resonance, acid-base reactions, spectroscopy, and synthesis. For Organic Chemistry 2, lessons may cover aromatic chemistry, carbonyl reactions, carboxylic acid derivatives, enols and enolates, aldol and Claisen reactions, Michael addition, Robinson annulation, and multistep synthesis. For exam prep, I help students review missed questions, build a high-yield study plan, practice timed problems, and focus on the topics most likely to improve their score.
