Wondering why take lessons with me? I've been playing guitar for 37 years now. I have played professionally over the last 33 years, including 25 with Cirque du Soleil. I am 100% bilingual. The guitar is my passion, my life. For me, teaching guitar is not work. It's a real pleasure! And finally (the most important point for me), over the years, I developed my own technique. My system has only ONE GOAL: PLAYING THE GUITAR! That means "we play a lot, and we learn the necessary theory. I teach 9 to 99 years old! I am a double graduate of Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA What is GuitarBloxx? It's a teaching method with ONE great goal: PLAYING THE GUITAR! What does that mean for you? This means that throughout the first few basic courses, the theory will be ONLY based on the game. "Hands on"! Do not just make notes! And yes, there are songs that are so easy to learn. From the first class, everything you learn will be based on a song that you learn at the same time! Fun songs to play (you can even pick from my list) AND learn at the same time. You will be able to show the quick results of your progress to your relatives and friends! I will also give you written notes (to do a little practice at home), and also "backing tracks" to immediately give you the feeling of playing in a group! All of this is included in my classes, and even more. Obviously, if you are intermediate or even advanced, the same principle applies, only the techniques taught and the songs that we learn differ. A little / a lot more difficulty, and with different goals. And what's even more cool is that as you move forward in the program, it's YOU who chooses the BLOXX that you want us to work together. In closing, you do not even have to own your own instrument. I have a ton of guitars of all styles that I rent to my students until they get theirs. And when they are ready to buy this first guitar, not only I offer to help them in their choice, but I also have a guitar store that offers the best prices. Classes are offered Monday to Sunday, at Samson Blvd in Laval, 2 minutes west of Highway 13. Here are the time slots available at this time. Note that the available time slots may change without notice. Thursday 19:30 - 22:30 Friday 9 pm - 10.30 pm Saturday 2.30 pm - 5.30 pm Sunday 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Trusted teacher: Hello everyone! After a few years teaching in several institutions in France and after an expatriation in Quebec, I decided to focus only on private lessons, online and at home. Here is the beginning of a new experience :) At the level of my schooling, I studied at the secondary level in literature (French literary baccalaureate with reinforced English and option arts), before completing a degree (equivalent of the baccalaureate of Quebec - it is to be lost!) In literature and English-speaking civilization, before starting a master's degree in English-language literature. I was a teaching assistant in high school English at a college in Angers (France) for two years. I learned the basics of the job. I took charge of groups or entire classes, including a group of allophone students for FFL classes, I participated in the implementation of sequences and the evaluation of students while enjoying the knowledge -to do my tutors English teachers. I have also been a substitute teacher on long term positions (all year). In French high school, with seven classes on three levels (bac S and ES). So I prepared my students for the baccalaureate exam and took care of my classes for progression in English. I also taught in post-secondary, BTS. In parallel, I have always given private lessons in English and French, for various levels; international students, university students, children, young people, for exam preparation (bac, TEFaQ and TOEIC especially). I gave classes online (Skype, Hangouts) and face-to-face, at home or in public places (university, library). I like the convenience of the online course, it allows the use of interesting tools and the learner often feels more comfortable :) I have also been au pair twice, in England. Each time, I was in charge of three children from the same family, for whom I had to plan activities and teach the basics of French. I loved this experience! I am currently an expatriate in Montreal where I greatly appreciate the mix of English and French. The city lends itself to an endless cultural opening which I could not do without. That's it for me! See you soon :) Delphine

Trusted teacher: MY EXPERIENCE: * Although I have taught all the English tests you can think of (and just as many you can't think of-- YGS, anyone? How about OTV? :D); my experience in SAT, IELTS, and TOEFL preparation is truly vast. * In one language school, I worked as the School TOEFL expert for 2.5 years. In another language school, I worked as a School IELTS expert for 3 years 💪. * I have almost 4 years of remote education experience! CONCRETE RESULTS, CONCRETE SUCCESS * Your scores with start to improve *on the first lesson* * My SAT students have achieved 350-point increases, IELTS students 3-point increases, and TOEFL students 30-point increases in their scores; with SAT students earning 1550, IELTS students 9s, and TOEFL students 110s. SPEAKING FROM EXPERIENCE "Even if you are scoring low right now, if you put in the effort and give yourself time to improve, there is no reason why you shouldn't get a stellar score and into your dream university. You only need the right guidance and to study. It really is doable; I'll tell you how." WHAT MORE DO YOU GET WHEN YOU WORK WITH ME * My specific tried-and-true strategies will become second nature to you and you will be able to apply them to other important exams in the future * Hundreds of pages (per exam!) of *original* material I have developed over many many years, on top of all the best material out there and past and mock exams PLUS: * In addition to all the greatness above, all of my students benefit from my counseling and tutoring when they are preparing their applications for undergraduate/ graduate programs. From writing a CV to writing an application essay, you can learn anything you need! WANT TO TAKE CLASSES WITH YOUR BESTIES? Exam Preparation classes work best 1-on-1 or in very small groups. We can do classes with as many students as you want, but I recommend 3 students at most for Exam Preparation classes. *Please always check my availability directly with me. The chart might be outdated.

Trusted teacher: Engineer in nuclear engineering, Doctor of Physics, former Assistant Professor of Physics at the University, Examiner in preparatory class, and Professor of Mathematics at the Lycée, I offer support: Mathematics and in Physics-Chemistry in the French system up to the Scientific Terminal Mathematics in the Quebec system up to Cégep Science de la nature Mathematics for the preparatory year at HEC Montréal The purpose of the first meeting is to get to know the student and to determine his current level in mathematics and / or physics-chemistry, what are his strengths and weaknesses, and what are the objectives to be achieved. From the observation, I establish with the student and his parents an educational assessment (notions to be reviewed as a priority, working method, duration and frequency of lessons) aimed at best meeting the student's objectives. My methodology consists of first acquiring a good and deep understanding of the different aspects of the course and then sifting through the exercises and problems that allow the student to understand the usefulness and the extent of the effectiveness of each theorem or trick. . At the end of a session, I make sure that several objectives are met: -Have helped the student to master his course from start to finish, -Having helped the student to do but especially to understand the exercises while ensuring that the writing of the solution is correct and rigorous. -Present methods and tips that the student can use and reuse in multiple situations, it happens as follows: I solve with the student an exercise with the spirit of resolution done in class, then I present him a method of resolution alternative if I consider that this can be used in other exercises. This methodology has paid off from my experiences with a multitude of students of different levels, understanding the course and mastering the exercises makes the student average rise very quickly. Finally, the lessons can also take place remotely if that suits the student.
