This culminated in a Masters degree in second-language acquisition and a CELTA Certificate from Dundee College. I specialised in Trinity and Cambridge exams and also in conversational English for practical and everyday use. After many years overseas, both teaching and examining English, I have returned to Spain and am available to share my extensive experience and expertise in all aspects of English. I currently work as an Aviation teacher in a school in Alicante where I have taught for some years. My teaching approach is student-centred and communicative, where learning is a positive experience in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. All my students are encouraged to speak as much as possible to increase fluency. Professionalism, patience and a good sense of humour guaranteed! All lesson materials are provided free of charge. Another method of teaching can be suggested by students and this class is primarily for students who struggle in this subject, with lessons available during the summer. I aim to provide a greater understanding in mathematics, with some of the exercises provided more challenging than those given in classes, which should enhance the ability and results of students. During my time in sixth form, I helped Year 10 students in Maths Masterclasses, where they learnt the idea of proofs and generalisation and attended extension clubs to extend my grasp of Physics and Maths. I am currently studying Physics with Astrophysics and Cosmology at King’s College London, applying my mathematical and physical knowledge from GCSEs and A-Levels. After achieving an A* in A-Level Maths, I aspire to supply students with the correct tools in order to achieve a great final result. I will be using Google Meet for this class.

Maria is an excellent teacher who can adapt her teaching style according to her student. My daughter and I both had lessons with her and we both found the lessons both enjoyable and challenging. We both feel we made progress. My daughter has had several tutors over the years and thinks Maria is, for her, perfect. She makes the lessons fun while having a structure and aim for each lesson so progress is always made.

We’ve had two in-person sessions with Hatice so far and they have been excellent. Her classes are engaging and accessible to students of different levels. In a class, she is very skilled at offering depth for someone who has some turkish understanding as well as being accessible to a beginner. I hope to continue a mix of online and in person lessons with her!
