This class is to introduce you to the basics of acrylic painting. Whether it’s your very first time using a paint brush, or you need extra practice I will assist and teach you the basics acrylic painting. There is no rules in art only foundations. Let’s get started and make some art together!

The art lesson consists of 3 steps: 1. process of painting& drawing, I will show you how to paint step by step. 2. theory of professional painting & drawing 3. analysis of the paintings of great artists. We will get inspired by how great artists painted on the same topics or copy a painting of a great artist. (Monet, Degas, Van Gogh, Fantin-Latour, Levitan..) We can take a simple painting for example of Monet and try to paint in his style, learn the secrets, techniques of this great artist. You can feel like Monet! 4.You will have a finished painting in one lesson if it a simple subject. In two or three lessons if it is more difficult subject. -lesson duration: 1 hour (60 min) -online, by Skype/Facetime/Zoom, private, one on one, Individual painting lesson. -in english or russian languages. -I will suggest you several photos you to choose the subject of the painting that inspires you or you can suggest your own subject. I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London. Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you! Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs. The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language. (Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. Let it be the starting point, venture out and discover it from various angles and ways of expressing it. But also be mindful that as we grow our interests can change and as they change, we must remain honest and respond accordingly such that our artistic language can also grow.) Have questions? We’ll explore fun exercises, create finished pieces, and experiment with different styles so you can discover what inspires you most. No experience needed—just bring your curiosity and supplies!

I offer creative lessons tailored to your needs and preferences. These can cover drawing and painting techniques, but also other materials like clay or digital tools (think digital art on the iPad). Together, we'll explore your current level, what skills you'd like to learn, and establish a goal to guide the lesson content. Especially if you're saying, "Yes, but I'm not really that creative," or "Yes, but I'm not very good at drawing," I'd love to take on the challenge with you!

All parts of two dimensional art are based in the core components of shape, line, form, color, texture, value, and rhythm. This class will serve as a crash course in how to identify the parts of a whole subject and translate it into whichever medium you wish to try. Class time will be spent constructing subjects using shape, exploring forms of still life's, implementing and explaining the use of references, understanding basic lighting and shadow, applying line weight, understanding basic color theory, and sharing techniques used to successfully portray an artistic subject. The lessons are suited for absolute beginners, people wanting to try a new hobby or grow a passion. More experienced artists will also be able to participate by having a positive environment for constructive critiques, to enhance their skills and techniques, or to simply seek advice and communication with a fellow artist.

No experience required! Hello! My name is Makenna, and I have been making art and painting for almost 10 years. I started very young, and believe that all students have infinite potential to learn an art form, no matter what access they have to materials. Whatever materials you have available, will be what I use! I'm very passionate about demonstrating that its not the materials that matter, it's the artist's passion. I'm very excited to work with you! In this workshop, I can show you the basics of acrylic painting; how to mix paint, what colors to use, how to use a reference. I can help you work towards completing a finished piece to be proud of. Be prepared to possibly get messy and have fun! If you decide we're a good match, and want to continue working with me, we will expand on these concepts and work on curating a list of goals you'd like to achieve. By the end of our time together, however many sessions that may be (I can work with you to create a plan based on a desired amount of sessions), I hope to have helped you achieve all of your goals in painting and improve your confidence within the medium!

In this class, you will learn the basics of how to paint a full-color and monochromatic portrait. You will learn the techniques of painting a portrait, color theory, blending, shading, highlighting, proportions, and proper mapping of features. This class will cover all the basics to further your skills to more advanced concepts. This class will be based on your progress and pace. Once a skill has been achieved, we will move on to applying it to different/more advanced skills. Our lessons at the beginning will be mastering shading and highlighting with shapes, and we will slowly advance to portrait painting since this is the basis of portraits.
