I am Rashi,an indian classical dancer, trained in kathak. I train people in kathak as well as semi classical form for stage performances.
Kathak is a special artform which is one of the 8 ancient dance forms in india. It specialises in grace, expression n beauty of movements.
It also tones your body, improves body posture and relieves stress..

Dance lessons focus on workout with dance and a fun choreography lesson. It is also a fun venue to meet new people who share their passion in dance and fitness.

Bollywood dance is a dynamic dance form that combines modern, classical, Indian and Western dance forms, to challenge the dancer and entertain the audience.
My aim is to help you learn dance, and introduce you to various dancing styles, bringing their gracefulness and energy to create an exciting, unforgettable experience.
The focus is to learn the choreography of each song step by step.
Dancing is a healthy habit for physical and Mental happiness. I personally believe that dancing is therapeutic; it has range of health benefits clinically effective at improving body image, self-esteem, focus, attention, communication skills and self-awareness. It has been shown to reduce stress, fears and anxieties, as well as lessen feelings of isolation, body tension, chronic pain and depression.

I specialise in teaching Bharathanatyam, an Indian Classical Dance. It is catered to students from the age of 4 to adults, no age restriction, as long they are interested and willing to learn.

This class is for aspiring Indian classical dancers. My goal is to keep the class as engaging and interesting as possible and to share the knowledge of dance to the students.

Each class would be one hour. It is conducted at Amstelveen Shiva Yoga studio on Friday evenings.

My dance classes will be tailored to your level and preferences, I can also adapt to your schedule. Bollywood dance covers a variety of dance styles such as kathak that you can see performed by the best Bollywood actors and dancers, folk dances such as garba, ghoomar, bhangra, etc.
You are absolutely free to choose your favorite Bollywood/Indian songs and the dance style you want to do!

Dear Dancers,
In these group classes I bring to you a fun filled bollywood dance classes learning the basics and and refining your own moves on Bollywood music . Bollywood dance classes are of different style comprising of Indian classical, hip hop, and fusion moves . It’s a fun filled class where we have a it of fun dancing and learning. And it’s always nice to dance in a group !!

The dance class/workshop agenda will be like this :
1. first 5 mins warm up
2. next 20 mins choreo for a fun bhangra/bollywood number
3. break 5 mins
4. practice the choreo again 20 mins
4. break 5 mins
5. performance video + picture - 5 mins

So, it will be fun filled dance session with breaks and performance. You can bring along whoever you want to see your dance also !!!

if we feel like we can also go and enjoy the drinks and bites afterwards.
