About Me

¡Hola! I’m Clara, your Spanish teacher from Asturias, Spain.
So, you want to learn Spanish... but you don’t want to spend your life memorising endless grammar rules? Perfect. We’re going to get along!
I’m a qualified teacher from Spain with a degree in Primary Education and specific training in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. I’ve taught Spanish to students of different ages and levels, and I love seeing that moment when a student suddenly realises: “Wait... I actually understand Spanish!”
My classes are relaxed, practical and very much focused on actually using the language. We’ll talk, laugh, make mistakes (yes, please make them!), learn useful expressions and work on the grammar and vocabulary you need along the way.
Whether you’re starting from zero, already understand Spanish but freeze when you have to speak, or you simply want to take your Spanish to the next level, I’ll adapt the lessons to you.
And no, you don’t have to sit through an hour of boring exercises. We can talk about travelling, food, music, Spanish culture, everyday life, films, funny situations... basically anything that gets you speaking Spanish without even realising you’re studying.
My goal is simple: I want you to leave each lesson knowing something new, having actually spoken Spanish, and looking forward to the next one.

I have been giving private lessons since I started university. I began by helping children with their school subjects and homework, and later started teaching Spanish as a foreign language to adults.
