Hello! I'm Jorge and I'm an illustrator born and raised in Tenerife, Canary Islands.

My goal is for the student to improve and work towards their desired achievements -- whether it's just to get better at drawing, work towards making a masterpiece, or putting together a portfolio to get into their desired art school. I also have notions of graphic and web design... even murals!

In the drawing, I'd work primarily on pencils and pens. Otherwise, the medium of choice could be digital (Photoshop / Illustrator).

I've been drawing since I was a child, and I'm studying for a Bachelor's in Fine Arts at AP university. I've also worked as a creative in an Advertisement studio for 2 years and now freelance as an artist for clients.

About Me
‘Ideas are to objects as constellations are to stars’ – this quote by Walter Benjamin resonates deeply with me and reflects how art has shaped my perspective. Despite being born into a family of entrepreneurs with little interest in artistic expression, my curiosity for art and culture flourished from a young age. I often sought out books on art and culture, and it was through these early explorations that I realized art was not just an interest but a true calling.
Education
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sociocultural Anthropology and later pursued studies in Fine Arts, blending my academic interests with my passion for creativity. Since the age of 18, I’ve balanced working alongside my studies, which has shaped my adaptability and strong work ethic. My artistic journey has also led me to exhibit my work at notable art fairs in Madrid and Barcelona, showcasing my dedication to both cultural exploration and artistic expression.
Experience / Qualifications
I began my journey in illustration in 2014, driven by my passion for drawing. Later, I expanded my creative pursuits by designing and developing websites for clients while working at an advertising studio in Tenerife.

Would you like to be able to illustrate the worlds and stories you imagine?

Do you want to learn how to create characters for a video game, animation, children's story, comic or in any format? Or would you like to be able to draw your favorite characters?

If you have those concerns, I would love to help you.

I like to focus the classes in such a way that the current drawing level of the student is not what is important. The room for improvement will always evolve. I like to take my classes towards character design, towards general things like the psychology of color and shapes, since they are assimilable and highly useful concepts, independent of the level of drawing. For this reason, my classes are aimed at all ages and drawing levels.

I also try to focus them on the preferences and tastes of each student, showing them that everything they like, they like for a reason, that nothing is left to chance and that they can also understand how to make their drawings reflect what they want to convey. Even to create your portfolios or visual information for your own project or story.

I give private classes with students from different parts of the world, so many of my classes I have been able to do in both English and French.

I studied 2D animation in France, and thanks to this training, my work has been nourished by dynamism, storytelling, expressiveness, typical of this medium, as well as the sensitivity for color and shapes that I usually use to infuse a unique style both to my original designs as well as my fanarts.
