With a background as a novelist and over 20 years of teaching experience, I bring both my passion and my expertise to the classroom, helping you to achieve fluency in reading, speaking and writing Mandarin Chinese.

I moved to Belgium in 2009. Before that I grew up in China in the south-west province of Guangxi. As a young girl, I lived my life during the cultural revolution, as a young womani I witnessed the incredible pace at which China became the world power that it is today. I have currently published four books in Chinese, the last one being a long novel called "Brigantine" that received overwhelmingly positive reactions in China. The fifth one is underway.

My students prove that everyone can read and write smoothly after 3 years courses (about 200 hours per year).
My teaching method:The first two years, students will mainly focus on the alphabet ,vocabulary,grammar, basic reading and writing skills, Later,they will focus on advanced reading and writing skills, for children and young people,we will pay particular attention to listening and speaking,literary reading and writing.

The lesson is given in Dutch, English or even Chinese for the advanced passionates.

This is the basic version of my Chinese lessons which is suited for motivated learners who are committed to spending 2-4 high quality hours per week for self study outside of the class. See my profile for the advanced version where I offer even more additional materials and more extra feedback for a more immersive learning experience. The advanced version is suited for people who want to progress faster with guidance.

The general structure lesson revolves around review from previous sessions, assigned exercises and the new chapter of textbook. After the lesson you will receive exercises and extra audiovisual materials for the theme covered during lesson through Google Classroom. It is encouraged to leave questions about the language on Google classroom as well.

[Information regarding platform usage]
It is possible to charge up credits for 1,5 or 10 lessons per time. One can pick an eve (or early morning until 8 o'clock) from a specific weekday for meetings to take place. That means if we cannot meet on a certain day picked e.g.Thursday then the only possibility is next Thursday. It is required to book the lessons for the next whole month in advance after the first lesson. One can cancel for free until 3 days ahead of time otherwise there is a cancellation fee of half the lesson.
