I usually start by teaching the theory of the topic requested by the student, explaining in a simple and very clear way to maximize the student's understanding. But after developing each idea, I ask if it is necessary to return to a previous point so that the student does not lose anything that has been developed so far. I am as patient as required. As for practice, I tend to use the exercises provided by the student's books or, if necessary, I will choose from external sources before each class. The custom is to maintain constant communication with the student to be sure of the topic and the exercises to be developed during the next class (without confusion) and to have enough time to prepare. On the other hand, I usually give exercises that must be solved for the next class, which takes very little time to review.
