Beyond performing, Karen is passionate about teaching. She has taken part in music festivals such as Gramado in Concert (Brazil) and directs the educational program “Cello in Concert” at Smart Music School in California. Her teaching approach blends solid technique, musicality, and expressive freedom — helping each student build confidence and joy through the cello.

About Me
I’m a Brazilian cellist currently based in Barcelona. I hold a Master’s degree in Cello Performance from Azusa Pacific University (Los Angeles), where I studied with a full scholarship and worked as a teaching assistant.
I’m now a doctoral researcher at the University of Barcelona, focusing on music performance and culture.
I have performed with orchestras in Brazil and the U.S., and I truly enjoy sharing my passion for music with students of all ages. My lessons are creative, structured, and adapted to each student’s goals — always with sensitivity and joy.
