International Baccalaureate Biology Standard Level (SL, IB)Translate this text using Google Translate.

I passed the IB diploma program for Biology Standard Level with full marks, I also received a 7 on my Internal Assessment (IA). I have a very good grasp on what the IB expects from it's students (all the weird and wonderful little criteria.) I have a very good grasp on Biology the subject itself, as it was one of my favorite classes and I understand the concepts on a broader and more minute scale, so I can help students to understand the topics as well as the specifics and how they all play into one another. I aim to provide students with not just the memorization of information in a somewhat robotic sense, but an actual understanding and comfortable grasp on all the topics, ideas and concepts. I can help with any homework or course work provided, including providing feedback and guidance on essays and assignments. I also like to set out extra homework (not difficult, just based on our sessions) to get back to me at the next meeting so that the student's confidence and grasp on the subjects continues to build and I can see where exactly they need assistance. NB: prior to our meetings, if possible, I would appreciate being sent whatever course work or topics the student is currently doing in class (or the syllabus, in the best case scenario) in order to best maximize my planning and ability to assist.

Violin and viola teacher with extensive experience in music pedagogy and orchestral performanceTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Welcome to my profile! My name is Fabiola, and I am a violin and viola teacher and children’s orchestra conductor based in Maastricht. I work with students of all ages, creating a supportive, creative, and personalized learning environment where each student can grow at their own pace and enjoy making music. As an active orchestral performer, I bring my professional experience on stage directly into my teaching. I help students develop a solid technique while fostering musicality, expression, and confidence. I use a variety of teaching approaches, including Suzuki, ABRSM, Trinity, and Galamian methods, adapting them to each student’s age, personality, and goals. In my lessons, I also focus on how to practice effectively at home, tackle challenging passages, and prepare confidently for public performances. I began my musical journey with El Sistema in Venezuela and continued my studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, specializing in both performance and pedagogy. I completed a Master’s in Violin Performance with a focus on Spanish music, as well as a symphonic master’s in collaboration with the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra (Orquesta RTVE). I currently collaborate with the Philharmonie Zuidnederland and the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, while also teaching private violin and viola lessons. I believe that discipline and enjoyment go hand in hand, and I enjoy guiding each student in their artistic and personal growth.

Science That Makes Sense – Real Learning with a Real ScientistTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Maths, Physics & Chemistry Tutor – Learn with Understanding, Not Just for Exams For Dutch, IB, British, and International Curricula – Taught in English Hi! I’m a PhD graduate in Materials Engineering with a strong foundation in maths, physics, and chemistry — subjects I’ve not only excelled in throughout my academic journey but have come to deeply enjoy. My research focused on semiconductors and materials science, and I bring that real-world scientific experience into every lesson I teach. I offer tutoring for students across various school systems in the Netherlands — including Dutch (VMBO, HAVO, VWO), IB, British (IGCSE, A-Levels), and international programs — at both secondary and early university levels. But here’s the thing: I don’t believe in just “getting through the syllabus.” I believe in making these subjects meaningful and intuitive. Whether it’s why equations really work, or how chemistry shapes the world around us, I focus on building real understanding — the kind that sticks and inspires. I love teaching. I do this because it’s genuinely exciting to help students unlock difficult concepts and feel confident. You won’t just hear “this is how it’s done” — we’ll figure out why it works, where it applies in real life, and how to think like a problem-solver. I learn alongside you too — every student brings a new perspective, and that keeps things dynamic. Whether you’re struggling, aiming for top grades, or just want to feel more connected to these subjects, I’m here to help — with patience, clarity, and curiosity. Let’s make learning a little more exciting, and a lot more meaningful.

Nick's approach is patient and thorough, informative and imaginative as well. He always comes up with his own examples in order to test my knowledge on a given exercise and helps me get to the answer at my own pace, rather than handing it to me. He doesn't use a one-size-fits-all method, but rather tailors his lesson in order to get out my full potential, even in a field I find difficult. He makes himself available for additional questions and is overall great to work with!

really patient, knowledgeable and available. I strongly recommend
