About Me

I am Eduardo Cobo. I was born in Ecuador in 1988. Throughout my life, I had the opportunity to travel and live in different countries for short terms. In 2005, I went to Houston Texas to complete my junior year at Cinco Ranch High School. During my stay in Houston, I lived with 3 host families that were always encouraging me to improve my English skills. After completing my undergrad studies in Cuenca - Ecuador, I moved to Madrid-Spain to obtain my graduate degree in Marketing & Sales at EAE Business School. After, in 2016, I worked in Brussels for 7 months for Freeedrive S.A as a Product Manager testing the app & Managing international suppliers from China and Spain which allowed me to have a better understanding of the European culture. Finally, my wife started her graduate studies in Nottingham so we moved to here on Sep 2018

I'm specialised in Spanish as a second language from basic level to a C2. My goal is to keep students challenged but not overwhelmed. Through dynamic lessons you will learn everything you need to hold a conversation, read the news and learn about the Spanish culture. Besides, assign homework after every lesson and provide periodic progress reports.

I have a degree in Spanish and I have a level 5 teaching qualification (CELTA). I have been teaching beginner and intermediate Spanish to adults since November 2019. I have taught 1-1 classes, couples and small groups (my price varies depending on student number).

I can use games to help make language learning fun! I understand grammar very well and can help you to learn it if this is what you need, or I can help you with conversation, reading, writing etc.

I put a lot of effort into my lesson planning to make sure that the student gets the most out of it, and I’m very flexible with changing lesson content to what suits the student best.

Spanish is a beautiful language! The focus of these tutoring sessions can be altered depending on your course - I can help with different module content for GCSE and A Level. As well as providing conversational practice or a beginners guide for adult learners!
