Improve your Italian skills by following your interests (i. e. books, TV series, songs)! Online tutor for Italian as a foreign language
From 25.9 £ /h
I tailor each lesson according to my student needs. I allow for the first 10 minutes to “steam off” in English/Spanish to express requests, needs, doubts and/or clarifications. Then everything is mandatory in Italian! The only exception made is for improving translation skills, upon request. My academic background allows me to trace the etymology of any given word and to easily spot false-firends, enabling a durable memorisation of new vocabulary.
Lessons usually focus on travelling, contemporary issues, specialised vocabulary of one’s own professional area, and practical vocabulary for daily life.
Examples of tasks:
- Preparing and sending an email to book an hotel room / rent a car
- Understanding and analysing brief videos/audios (i.e. Ted Talks, Podcasts) to post comments
- Explaining a recipe
- Summarising a tv show episode/play/book
- Analysing and translating news, crowdfunding campaigns, and essays.

About Me
I am specialised in Gender Studies and Conflict Transformation. Studying and tutoring in a second language (English) while improving my Spanish, French, and Serbian language skills allowed me to gain an ‘outsider’ perspective of mastering English. I can easily spot its limitations as well as its variety of terms available to express oneself.
I have been proof-reading theses, essays and written outputs for over 10 years now and I have developed a sharp attention to detail to spot typos and unnecessary repetitions.
I’ve also been employed as a hostess on board for boat tours around the Sorrento and Amalfi Coast. Such experience allowed me to share the myths, history and traditions of my beautiful hometown in Italian, English, French, and Spanish – both for adults and children.
I fully understand how hard it can be to pass an exam in a second language and that's why I love to prepare my students for success. While I might be new on Apprentus, I encourage you to check the reviews I have collected through the years,

My classes are tailored towards the student needs aiming at scoring at least one full band above the desired one. This way, we maximise the chances of passing the exam with top grades!
The first 10 mutes are dedicated to requests, venting, needs, doubts, and clarification. Then, we focus exclusively on the exam combining theory and practice. Classes typically follow the 4 sections that compose the exam while leaving free choice with regards to the textbook or sources to use.
I provide my students with documents containing my personal tips and tricks to minimise external factors related to anxiety/pressure while strengthening skills and strategic concentration.
I am available to commute (trip paid by the student) to Novi Sad.
I have 10 years of experience in tutoring English as a second language and I have specialised in IELTS since 2013. My students have ALWAYS passed the test and you can find their reviews.
