I specialise in tutoring both physical and human geography for ordinary and advanced level students. I will tailor-make my tutorials to suit the requirements and expectations of different examination boards.

Map work is also my area of speciality. I teach and demonstrate how to draw sketch maps based on topographical maps and how to interpret them.

About Me

I have passion for teaching Geography and Tourism courses. To me teaching is more like calling and I drive satisfaction in the success of my students. The only attribute I expect from a students is the willingness to learn . Students are different and I am ready to tailor make my tutorials to suite students with different cognitive abilities.

I also have a passion for research and can I also assist with supervision of dissertations especially for undergraduate and masters students.

Education

Bachelor of Arts attained at the University of Zimbabwe 1992. Masters completed 2008 at the University of Zimbabwe. Studied for a PhD in Tourism with North West University South Africa and graduated in 2018

Experience / Qualifications

Taught O level an A level Geography at various secondary schools in Zimbabwe for 17 years. Was an examiner for ZIMSEC, the national examination board in Zimbabwe for 8 years. ZIMSEC was once affiliated to the University of Cambridge Local examination Syndicate Board.

My course helps to prepare oneself to cushion the "culture shock" and to get along successfully with the other culture (the people or society or their individual members) in the long term.
Through my many trips and professional practice, I was able to gain a lot of experience here, which I round off with my study knowledge and gladly pass on. The focus areas are Europe and Asia, but I can also mediate other regions.
