Piano Lessons in Berlin by a German native speakerTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Piano Lessons in Berlin by a German native speakerTranslate this text using Google Translate.

(German version further down) I enjoy teaching because it requires a deeper knowledge of the material than if one is only performing music. I am continuously learning too. I do not think that it is important how old you are or in what environment you grew up. To engage with music as a result of learning an instrument can bring your brain into a healthy state of ongoing change. People who are "without any talent" for music do not exist. Everyone can engage with music and enjoy it. I can teach piano: - involving sheet music or not, depending on what you prefer. - or/and music theory lessons - or/and improvisation - or/and Jazz - or/and Ear Training - or/and Composition. The lessons can be held in English or German or a mixture of both. I teach close to Friedrichstraße in Berlin. The lessons can be done via Skype too. You can read about me as a performing musician here: Julius (*1995) is a German pianist and composer, graduated from the University of Arts Berne in Switzerland in 2017 with honors. In July 2019 he finished his Masters in the European Jazz Masters Program through the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen with exchange semesters in Berlin and Amsterdam. Throughout his studies, he was lucky enough to receive artistic guidance from Colin Vallon, Django Bates, Harmen Fraanje, Simon Toldam, Peter Bruun, Greg Cohen, and Michael Moore. Julius was granted a scholarship by Lyra Stiftung Zürich in 2015 and 2016. Tours with his own bands have been supported by different fundings from Switzerland and Germany. He performed all across Europe during the past years. German: When teaching, it's important to have a deeper understanding of everything than when "just" making music. I'm always learning as a teacher. It doesn't matter how old you are or whether you grew up in a music-rich or music-poor environment. Engaging with music can put our brains into a healthy state of constant change and growth. There are no people who are "talentedless" when it comes to music. Everyone can engage with music and enjoy it. I offer lessons with or without sheet music, depending on your preference. If you're interested, I also teach music theory, improvisation, jazz, ear training, and composition. Classes are held in German or English, or a mixture of both. I teach near Friedrichstrasse in Berlin. Classes can also be held via Skype. Here is an insight into my musical work: Julius (*1995) is a German pianist and composer working in the fields of jazz and improvised music. He completed his bachelor's degree at the Bern University of the Arts in 2017 with distinction. In July 2019, he completed the European Jazz Masters at the Rytmisk Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, with exchange semesters at the Jazz Institute Berlin and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. In 2015 and 2016, he received a scholarship from the Lyra Foundation in Zurich. His bands' tours have been regularly supported by German and Swiss foundations in recent years. Julius has played concerts all over Europe in recent years.

Be semper stato affascinato dall'antico Egitto? Have you ever heard of conoscere meglio and the mystery of this fascinating civility? Allora questo è il corso per te! Teaching approach: I have always been fascinated by ancient Egypt, and during my studies of Foreign Languages and Literature at Turin University, I took Egyptology for one year. I studied with Professor Silvio Curto, a well-known Egyptologist who was the Director of the Turin Museum for many years. Since my studies I have kept reading Egyptology texts and enriching my knowledge, my main interest and specialization being ancient Egyptian mythology, deities (and especially goddesses), as well as magic. Course program: Turin is the city in which I was born, raised and where I lived for a long time. This city is closely linked to ancient Egypt, since it houses the oldest Egyptian Museum worldwide, and still one of the most important collections in the world. In this course we are going to visit the Museo Egizio in Turin virtually, and we are going to read and discuss interesting texts written by Egyptologists, discussing many fascinating topics, such as ancient Egyptian magic, mythology, gods and goddesses, women in Ancient Egypt and many more. And if you visit Turin, a live lesson in the Egyptian Museum in the form of a guided visit can be arranged! In this course we will virtually tour the 'Museo Egizio' in Turin and we will talk about many fascinating topics such as Egyptian magic, deities, famous pharaohs, amulets, ancient Egyptian art and much more. We will also answer interesting questions: When did ancient Egypt begin? How old were the Egyptians? Were women equal? What colors were there in the Egyptian language? And if you're visiting Turin, there's also the option to organize a live lesson in the form of a shared tour of the Egyptian Museum! In the course of a virtual visit to the Egyptian Museum of Torino and to the audience of many fascinating arguments: the pyramids and the temples of Abu Simbel, the amulet of all the divine egizie, the Valle dei Re and the Regine as the ruins of the ancient Egitto woman. Interactive piano lessons & music culture - Learning music as a language: Speak through the pianoTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Interactive piano lessons & music culture - Learning music as a language: Speak through the pianoTranslate this text using Google Translate.

If you are one of these people, then you've come to the right place: * Beginners, children or adults * People with poor piano experience or “stuck” players * Parents who want their children to learn music like a language and develop focus and calmness in the process * Music lovers, musicians or fans of certain styles who want to play creatively themselves Then you've come to the right place. I have been a musician since childhood and play the piano. I have been working as a piano teacher for 5 years. I am also an architect and multidisciplinary artist, exploring the connection between sound and visual art. The lessons focus on piano practice, reading music and a better understanding of music – using methods such as Piano Adventures, Alfred and other modern textbooks. After about 5 months, many of my students see a clear difference in their playing, understanding, and self-confidence. ✨ Suitable for children, beginners and anyone who wants to learn piano in a modern and enjoyable way. For me, music is not a theory, but a language that one lives. Music should be learned and treated like a language. Listening, reading (music), writing and playing. The goal is for you to eventually "speak" music naturally, without thinking too much. Feel free to write to me if you want to know more about my teaching or how I teach music like a second language. Other programs (feel free to ask for details at any time – I'll send you all the information): • Program for musical culture and listening comprehension for children and adult artists • Program: Piano lessons and music reading for all age groups • Basic music theory program for beginners and musicians • Program “Sight-reading” (direct reading and playing of music) Karam Berlin, Friedrichshain

“ I’m so lucky that I was able to have lessons with Jack during my time in Berlin! He creates such a supportive environment for learning — laid back and calm, yet totally professional. After years of me struggling independently with a few pieces, he was able to show me new ways of approaching the music that transformed even the hardest parts into something accessible. He has a lovely and genuine way of offering encouragement / recognizing progress, while still keeping track of the underlying objective; a more far-reaching arc of improvement. I like how he remembers this larger perspective from week to week (especially when I forget), and finds ways to expertly weave the end goal into incremental, manageable steps. I have learned so much from the tools and techniques he’s shared with me, and am grateful to have enjoyed his teaching. ”

“ The lessons with Johnny are teaching me exactly what I was seeking to learn. He gets straight to the point and quickly shows me the best way to go for a particular effect in editing, which is what I was looking for. ”

“ Excellent teacher, very experienced and very approachable, I had fun learning the basics. He first checked what my level was, then we got right into it and learning just happened effortlessly, clear recommendation! ”
