My goal as an experienced teacher is to help my students find their musical souls, weight out their imagination and awake their creativity using the tools of body awareness, motivation, discipline and fun.

The main emphasis during my lessons can be found in emotionality. The core of good music is expression or it's lack in the certain pieces. Self-confidence, self-awareness and conscious choice of means of expression are an important subject to the lessons. My goal is to open minds and inject my students with an analytical approach towards difficulties in their playing at the same time learning easy-coming, quick and simple resolutions. Most of all it's about fun. Fun and pleasure. As one said: "What is creation? Creation is passion. And what is passion? Passion is love." Threw introducing my students the musical world I live in, I try to help them find their own way of loving what's in between the notes.

About Me

I am a professional violinist and an experienced teacher. I started private teaching at the age of 14 and I had at least one student ever since.
Currently, I explore the further secrets of violin playing as well as the crucial aspects of the psychological approach in teaching by doing my masters in Pedagogy (MA Ped) at the Academy of Arts (HKB) in Bern. I am an honored licentiate of violin in the classical department as well as vocal in jazz. I continue my jazz studies by doing my minor under the keen eye of Andreas Schärer.

I have a big appetite for knowledge, am honest, open, easy-going, and a bit crazy :)

I appreciate every second of my life to the fullest and always strive for more.

Hello!
I am pleased to be able to introduce myself briefly and share my passion with you. I am passionate about honest, inclusive and exciting instrumental lessons, which can also be humorous. As a child, I was able to enjoy such lessons with my first teacher, so that at the age of eight I decided to become an instrumental teacher myself. I would like to ignite this fire in my students too - as long as they want it, of course.

Just being human, enjoying music together and learning an instrument at the same time. Self-discovery learning is very important to me. But you don't just learn the violin/viola, you also learn how to make music.

I am still young and in the middle of my Master's degree here in Bern, where I have been giving private lessons for the last six months and am constantly learning something new - you never stop learning. I was able to gain further experience in Austria during my Bachelor's degree. This included two years of teaching experience at three music schools as part of my degree.

This course is aimed at beginner and intermediate students of classical violin, jazz and contemporary music.

For beginner students:
We cover technical elements such as violin and bow positioning and holding, bow movement, left-hand placement, scales, and positions. We also work on developing ear training and rhythm. We may also introduce basic music theory concepts, such as reading notes.
Finally, we work on learning pieces, according to the student's desires and musical styles.

For intermediate students, here are different approaches depending on their musical styles and desires.

For jazz and improvised music: scales or arpeggios that can be played on a given chord, modes and their use, rhythm, improvisation exercises, phrasing (swing, Latin, funk, etc.), learning jazz standards, how to amplify on stage, etc.

For classical music: scales and arpeggios, technical exercises for the left and right hand, how to put together a piece, musicality and interpretation.
