Hello! I’m a native Chinese speaker and currently a PhD student in Switzerland, majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

I lived in Japan for more than 6 years and also got N1 level on it's language test. I have studied Japanese in Malaysia for 2 years , 4 years of University and worked 2 years in Japan therefore i know all sorts of Japanese grammar and vocabulary. Dear all,

I am located near Geneva, Switzerland and I offer Chinese and Math lessons. Since 2016, I have been providing tutoring services to school students and adults on a weekly basis. I have over 4 years of experience teaching math to international students, ranging from primary school to high school, using English as the medium of instruction. In addition, I have also been tutoring Chinese to both adults and children at TheLanguageCenter in Ferney Voltaire.

I have been giving chinese lessons for more than 10 years. Before that, I was a radio broadcaster and a journalist in China, hence I have a perfect pronunciation of the official mandarin, without any accent. It provides my students the best conditions to learn chinese, as the tone you give to words when you speak chinese as a foreigner is of great importance if you want to be understood by natives.

I have a strong working experience helping students preparing their HSK exam, I also often teach diplomats, to help them acquire the necessary skills and understand properly the vocabulary specific to their job.

Mandarin may be more interesting than you thought it was. It's a language that's unlike any other. There are no plurals, no genders, and no tenses. This course introduces students to standard Mandarin Chinese language and is designed for students with no or minimal previous background in spoken or written Mandarin. Students in this course focus on learning essential vocabulary, practicing pronunciation, and understanding simple grammatical structures. This knowledge prepares students to effectively communicate in Mandarin on a limited range of topics related to everyday situations. Students practice listening and speaking in real-life situations, learn to read
and write Chinese characters and examine how culture and language interact in China.

In-class activities and course assignments aim to assist students as they develop the four-factor proficiency and confidence necessary to initiate simple conversations. We can also have extracurricular experiences, and we can meet in our spare time for face-to-face communication, which will provide ample opportunities for practical participation.

Most likely, your first few Chinese classes will focus mostly on listening and speaking, and will gradually incorporate reading and writing as you go, since these are the most difficult of the four.

I have a master's degree in German Studies, and I am C2 proficient in English.
