Engaging with English Literature and Creative Writing
I study English and Creative Writing at the University of Birmingham. I have experience in writing and have published many articles in the Redbrick Newspaper. My original poem in the International Phonetic Alphabet has been 'highly commended' in the 2020 Language for Literature Competition. I am the CAL Ambassador at the UoB, and also a Student Rep. I was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Scholarship to study at the UoB. I have scored 98% in English in grade 12th (A level equivalent). I have also got a Medal of Distinction and a Certificate of Distinction by getting the 25th zonal rank in the first level of International English Olympiad in the same grade. My school rank was the first. I qualified for the second level and got the certificate of Zonal Excellence for the 22nd zonal rank too. I have also been awarded with trophies of Overall Proficiencies and scholar badges, every year from the grade 6th to 10th for a 10/10 CGPA. I am here for whatever you need me - whether that be creative writing sessions, or a topic specific preparation for a test in English Literature, I can provide you the same. We can work together in achieving your goal. I can make you feel comfortable about yourself and your studies, as my work surrounds mental health. If you are shy to meet new people, that's no problem - as I said, we'd work together.

creative writing (English or French), in characters large enough to make it a good read.
Writing is a passion and there are a host of topics that many can tackle. Whether we do a simple topic of a few pages to a booklet/book, all can. make their contribution. Genres vary greatly as do styles and duration. Starting a book is an epic and the number of pages is very variable. Writing transports us to a new world where the members of the story will engage in an (almost) endless battle.

A glorious journey into poetry: creative writing and learning
My classes involve a mixture of discovering poetry in its diverse forms and responding to writing exercises. All activities have the aim of expanding the student's personal relationship with this incredible art form and developing their power to self-express creatively. We will look at how poetry continues to challenge the status quo and can act as a space for connection, emotional healing and rebirth in climates of limitation and struggle. I am passionate about teaching poetry writing because I have seen how beneficial the sharing and crafting of poetry is for mental health; I want to bring this passion into people's lives and am as excited to learn from each student's insights and creations as I am to impart knowledge and feedback. I am an experienced tutor and published poet with a first-class honours degree in English and Spanish from Durham University. My anthology "Poems of Hope", on the subject of mental health, was published in 2019 to fundraise for Mind UK. I am currently studying part-time postgraduate course in teaching creative writing with Cambridge University to complement writing and teaching. I have 5+ years of experience tutoring English and have devised and delivered poetry workshops for vulnerable adults as well as tutored creative writing throughout the pandemic. I have also spent a year working with SEN students in secondary education as a teaching assistant. I welcome teenagers and adults who identify as neurodivergent, disabled or struggling with mental health. I hope to hear from you and look forward to journeying into poetry together.

Critical Thinking and Written Communication/Academic Writing and Creativity
ACW is a formal course offered in the American Liberal Arts Program (ALAP). For American students, it is essential that they take writing courses such as English Composition (EC), Critical thinking and Written Communication (CTWC), Technical Writing (TW), so as to foster their technical and critical skills which they use in short essays , long essays, research papers, MA theses, and PhD dissertations. During this course, the student will be taught in accordance with his academic skills. Different students will be assigned different academic tools to build his writing and critical skills. Eventually, the student will learn how to defend his formal position in formal writings. The course will also offer opportunities to write creatively and express opinions in creative manners, including short poetry and short stories.

In short, put an end to the fear of writing! Isn't it difficult to be consumed by the desire to write your project and not succeed in doing it? Break forever the insurmountable wall that prevents you from writing today. It is a matter of combining improvements in form with improvements in substance. For this, the sessions can for example take place according to your needs as follows: a) Comments / proposals on the text that you will offer me b) Writing exercises based on a statement. c) A series of precise and pragmatic recommendations and their application through style exercises. Whether it is a novel, an essay, song lyrics, various texts, a biography or simply a report for professional or school purposes, it is about offering you elements personalized pedagogy: - Study your text - Build text, song lyrics etc - Calmly polish the style - Research and develop your lexical fields - Differentiate between writing for oneself and writing for others All this by combining theory and practice: Writing work from exercises then as part of a personal project. During the sessions, you are guided in your writing project. The trainer accompanies you and teaches you the preparation method, gives you writing tools and helps you work on your style and your imagination. The objective is multiple, including a reflection on one's own literary path, an introduction to the basic tools of style work and exercises on description. But currently and until further notice, only by videoconference in accordance with national recommendations on Covid. These sessions, for which you have asked me, also seem to be perfectly unanimous since they arouse a certain enthusiasm (and a certain enthusiasm). Indeed, they have the advantage of face-to-face sessions (ex: quality of the interaction), without its disadvantages (ex: loss of travel time) with additional advantages (ex: the entire session transcribed in writing on the chat). That is why, at your request, I continue to offer this option. À la carte: evaluated and adapted to each personality.

Learn to write better, expand your creativity and strengthen your ability to express yourself.
Writing is communicating. Language represents you and says a lot about you, even those things that you did not know. While the spoken words are blown away by the wind, the written word remains in time, which is why, when expressing our ideas and putting them into shape, it is important to remember that what is written is never understood in the same way as what is spoken. If when writing I make a mistake, the reader will internalize a message different from the one we wanted to convey, because the message is not what I want to say, it is what I say. Here, you will learn to consciously use language as a tool to represent yourself. You will gain confidence and expand your level of expression and this will positively impact your personal and professional development. My classes are personalized; I consider that each person is unique, which is why I adapt to the needs of each person. The objective is to achieve meaningful learning within a relaxed and unstructured dynamic. Go ahead!

Photography & Visual Storytelling - Making photographs that capture the essence of the human experience
Hello there! This class is not just any ordinary photography class, but one that includes the social/emotional and very HUMAN element of photography as well. I am a professional photographer with a Degree and background in Photojournalism & Visual Storytelling. When I photograph weddings, clients or my own family I don't just snap a pic, I tell a story about their soul. When we don't have anything left of someone, we have our memories and our photographs. I want to teach you to make the same photographs of your loved ones or of anything in your life experience. If you have a specific story to tell, I can help you tell it in a creative and beautiful way with depth and emotion. I care about the photographs that make you want to look at them longer, always discovering a new detail every time you look at it. I can teach the technicalities and post-production aspects of photography too, but I am much more interested in an imperfect photo that has emotion than a perfect photo that doesn't tell a story. I hope I can get to know you better through the power of photography and art.

Creative Music Expression - Understanding Music
Would you like to approach the creative writing of music? Would you like to fully understand the languages and the way music works? Can I help you! Like any form of creative expression, music has its rules, rooted in perception and in the context around us. We can work on fundamental concepts of musical expression, valid in all genres and also immerse ourselves in the area that interests you most (baroque, classical, pop, jazz ...) My course has a non-academic approach and it is open to all: whether you are professionals who want to deepen their musical knowledge, or you are amateurs or beginners we can build the perfect course for you and that will allow you to express yourself or simply to better understand the music you are listening to. The only thing I highly recommend is knowing how to read music, because it allows us to go much faster. If you are not able, we can start there.
