About Me
As an architect with extensive experience in drawing and painting, my teaching style is grounded in a blend of structured guidance and creative freedom. Here's an overview of my teaching methods and the type of students I strive to work with:
Structured Instruction: I provide a solid foundation by introducing fundamental principles of drawing and painting. This includes topics such as perspective, proportion, composition, colour theory, and shading techniques. Through clear explanations, demonstrations, and step-by-step exercises, students grasp essential concepts and develop core skills.
Hands-on Practice: Learning by doing is central to my approach. I encourage active participation through hands-on activities, exercises, and projects. Students engage in practical tasks that allow them to apply theoretical knowledge, experiment with different mediums, and explore their creative potential.
Personalized Feedback: Every student has unique strengths, challenges, and learning preferences. I offer personalized feedback and guidance tailored to individual needs. By observing students' work closely, I identify areas for improvement and provide constructive critique to help them progress effectively.
Encouragement of Creativity: While I provide structure and guidance, I also foster a supportive environment that encourages creative expression and experimentation. I believe in nurturing each student's artistic voice and empowering them to explore diverse styles, techniques, and ideas.
Integration of Technology: Given my expertise in ArchiCAD and visualization, I incorporate technology into my teaching where applicable. This may involve introducing digital drawing tools, 3D modelling software, or digital painting techniques to enhance students' skills and expand their creative repertoire.
Collaborative Learning: I value collaboration and peer interaction as valuable learning experiences. Group discussions, critique sessions, and collaborative projects foster a sense of community, inspire new ideas, and encourage students to learn from each other's perspectives.
As for the type of students I aspire to work with, I welcome individuals who are enthusiastic about learning and passionate about art and architecture. Whether you're a curious beginner eager to explore the world of drawing and painting or an experienced artist seeking to refine your craft, my classes are designed to accommodate diverse skill levels and ages. I appreciate students who are open-minded, motivated, and committed to growth, as we embark on this artistic journey together.

Education
In my educational journey, I obtained a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) from the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (NUACA) from September 2010 to May 2016. This foundational period equipped me with essential architectural theory, design principles, and technical skills.
Subsequently, I pursued a Master of Architecture (MArch) in Architectural Engineering at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) from September 2016 to September 2018. This advanced program provided specialized knowledge in Building Information Modeling (BIM), sustainable design, and other critical architectural practices. Through rigorous coursework and hands-on projects, I developed expertise in utilizing cutting-edge technologies and sustainable design principles to address contemporary architectural challenges.
These educational experiences have laid a strong foundation for my career, enabling me to blend theoretical understanding with practical applications in architectural design and engineering.
