I am Debora and I am passionate about language exchanges, that is why I decided to become a tutor to teach my mother tongue! I believe that a language is not only grammar and vocabulary, but it is above all about culture, behaviors, sense of humor, and... a lot of fun!
My methodology can really adapt to everyone and every level: be yourself and enjoy it!
Learning a new language is about opening a new semantic window in your brain, a new perspective! In order to do so, it's important to build together an immersive space! Let's live some experiences through which you can actually learn to use the language: songs, YouTubers, movies, recipes, extracts from books, news, podcasts, storytelling, sketches, creative writing, and more ;)
Italians and Italian culture are everywhere in Bruxelles! There are plenty of opportunities to keep the language alive and constantly improve it!

I am a teacher and tutor of Italian Language for Foreigners with a Master's degree in teaching Italian as a language for foreigners from the Ca' Foscari University of Venezia and the DITALS certification (Certificate of aptitude in didactics of Italian to foreigners) of the University for Foreigners of Siena (Italy).
The course and my method of teaching the language are based on a communicative approach: the student will learn the language gradually by using it and communicating in a real language and not abstract. To achieve this goal, many activities will be offered using authentic teaching materials such as newspaper articles, pages from novels, movie scenes, song lyrics and many more.

As a native English speaker and near native Italian speaker, I can help you from the basics, to helping you correct university level papers, and to just sitting down and having a chat with you!
I have had past experience with tutoring and am flexible towards what my students want. If you're looking for someone to give you weekly homework, and to teach you grammar and vocabulary then I can do just that (with an entertaining, laidback feel to it). I don't want learning a language to feel like a chore, or a burden, therefore I put a lot of effort in making my classes interesting, new, and fun to ensure you take the most out of it.

My goal is to guide and help the students grasp a high level of understanding in the basics of English language skills, ESL, and Italian.

If students find they already know something quite well, I will not dwell on such topics too long and will move on to other topics that are new to them, or of interest. My goal is to provide a focused session in which the student is really the center of attention, where all their needs are met.

Hello! My name is Francesco and I've been living in Belgium for seven years. I'm from Liguria (Italy) and I'm currently completing my PhD in philosophy at KU Leuven.

For the past few years, I've given private Italian lessons to people who wanted to learn the language for fun or professional reasons. I've also taught two courses at a CVO (Center for Vocational Education) in Aalst: one classical course on grammar and vocabulary, and a conversation course for more advanced students. Depending on your level, we can get to know each other better during the lessons, talk about our lives, hobbies, experiences—anything you like! We can also watch and discuss short videos together to improve your listening comprehension and vocabulary. And when needed, we can focus more specifically on grammar and sentence structure.
